Will the free FSD trial convince you to purchase FSD?

It drives way too close to parked cars. I find it more stressful to drive with it on, so it isn't really a benefit. I want the visualization though.

Official Tesla CCS1 adaptor now available in Canada.

Tested it out on a local charger. Unfortunately it was a 50kW charger so I wasn't able to see how high it goes.

Repair suggestion- trading paint with a pole

My wife had a run in with a pole at the mall, damage is just cosmetic but a fairly big scrape. There is sligh denting on the body, so I imagine a full body shop repair would be costly and take a long time. What is the best bet for covering in the mean time (official paint kit...

    Hitch Install/Experience Vancouver

I bought the 2" ecohitch stealth from Burnaby Hitch and love it. You can remove it and replace the cover as needed. Probably a lot more than uhaul- I think it was about 850 for parts and labour, but should be a higher quality hitch than uhual.

    Canadian CHAdeMO charging

It's the official adapter strapped in. https://driveteslacanada.ca/news/heres-how-tesla-owners-will-be-able-to-use-onroutes-new-chademo-ev-chargers/

CHAdeMO adapter is missing from Tesla website.

I use CHAdeMO because BC Hydro and others have way more fast chargers in Vancouver than Tesla does. I am excited for the CCS adapter- because the chademo one is huge and bulky and limited to 50kW

    Charge port damage: How serious?

Mine also broke off - they sent a mobile service guy who fixed it in about 10 minutes. No charge.

    What's your rated range again?

2020 LR M3 AWD down from 517 to 470- which is around a 9% loss. 12k total km. Kind of annoying to see but it hasn't actually affected my life in any way. I haven't bothered draining down really low to see if it calibrates back on the way up.

How does Tesla sense and alert vehicles in their blind spots?

My wife almost changed lanes into someone last week in our 2020 Model 3 and it gave her a very loud audible alert- so I think it is there, it just wont alert you until you actually start changing lanes into someone. I've also seen the cars turn red if I have my signal on and someone is in my...

Trunk mounted bike (bicycle rack) for Model 3

I would personally recommend getting a proper hitch installed if you can. I've driven long distanced with trunk racks and they really feel like they're going to fall off at high speeds- and yeah they really do have a tendency to damage paint with all the hooks, straps, and buckles.

    Supercharger - Coquitlam, BC

Got 150kW here yesterday with about 30% - slowed down to 50kW as it approached 90% but managed to pull in 41kWh in 29 minutes.

Great Vancouver Area drivers- splash guards?

People without constant snow- did you put the splash guards on? If so- the Tesla ones or some from Amazon? I noticed some crud buildup behind my front wheels. I'll be going up to Seymour and maybe Whistler this winter. Been checking out the Basenor ones and the official ones.

    Western Canada Superchargers

The lower mainland desperately needs more superchargers. Even 6 months ago the Richmond charger was rarely half full- now it is packed. Nice to see a model Y there though. I hadn’t seen one up close yet.

    Western Canada Superchargers

Had some visitors today at the Richmond Supercharger. Aaaaaaaaaaalmost made it worth the drive to Richmond. Seriously though where is the Burnaby SC- or at least an East Van SC. Every fifth car is a Tesla now.

    Non-Tesla EVs in Canada

Thanks for all the great feedback

    Non-Tesla EVs in Canada

What EV would you get if you were not going to get a Tesla in Canada? Considering price, availability, charging network. I'm considering a non-Tesla EV as my secondary for my wife who finds our Model 3 too large. Bonus points if it is a compact or sub-compact. Generally used for city...

    Canadian CHAdeMO charging

Tried out the Chademo last night- not bad. I got 68km (10.7kWh) in 17 minutes. Not quite supercharging, but much better than Level 2. My only complaint was that it was a BC Hydro machine with CCS and Chademo - and a Volt was using the CCS and I had to sit and wait for him to finish despite an...

What does the Model 3 ACTUALLY come with?

My Long Range (two weeks ago) came with carpet mats (interior only, no frunk/trunk)- and the mobile charger with NEMA 5-15. No USB/lightning cables that I can find. I think he said the carpets came with the long range. They all have the panoramic roof.

The delivery specialist told me it was likely because it had been more than 30 days since my initial financing application- so they would have had to re-run it.

Model 3 Canada - Confirmed Orders Only thread

I couldn't find a single issue with it. The glass roof gaps are slightly asymmetrical, but well within personal tolerance. Everything else was great. I asked the guy what to look for and he said "well reddit says you should look at all the gaps- but they're really good now"
