IMHO this problem probably affects all models (I have Model 3) that the app has no ability to schedule a one-time trip with preconditioning. So I also forget to turn it off and get a notification the next day that it wastefully preconditioned the battery and preheated the cabin.

And there's a third step. Map updates. So like for my car to get WiFi I have to open the garage door and the signals so weak I have to wait an hour for it to download. Then I wait 20 minutes or so for it to install, do tunings and reboot. Then I think "Oh good it's finally done" so next trip...

Car wash mode has caused me nothing but grief whenever I've tried it. I just put the car in neutral. I can be sure my windows are rolled up etc. If the attendant needs to speak to me I can roll down the window. So much less stress.

Same problem exactly as you described. I just scheduled it since it seems to have been going on a week or so now. Also sometimes right side camera is missing on dashcam footage. If enough of us complain schedule SC appointments maybe they'll fix the quality issue.
