We posted a new video showing the proposed off-road route of our little team. It's going to be a long two years to wait...assuming Cybertruck production stays on schedule. Always looking for ideas of the best places to stop in while we make our way across the country!

In-bed may work for some users, but we're hoping to take a convoy of the trucks across country, so we'll be sleeping in the bed. I'm hoping to be able to create a platform and storage system as comfy as my current set-up!

Agreed, unfortunately can't have anything hanging off the back that would make the departure angle more shallow. Hopefully the design team comes up with something creative/ingenious.

Agreed on the math, and that a breakthrough offering substantially more power is unlikely. However, even 5-15 miles a day would provide a nice safety net since it would allow a team to limp back out of the wilderness. Can't do that if you run out of gas! I'm wondering if the solar option would...

Thanks for the heads up! We are going to be gathering ideas for the next couple of years, so we'll put yours on the list. Already looking forward to getting some footage of these trucks out in the wild!

We think someone needs to follow up on this with extensive testing in the real world! So - we've organized a team of reservation holders to drive an independent convoy of cybertrucks across the United States off road on the TransAmerica Trail. A link to our intro video is here: YouTube...

A solar array could be a game-changer for long-distance off road travel, but will probably need to see some pretty big efficiency gains in the panels in order to make a meaningful difference in range.

I need it to prove that a convoy of electric utility vehicles can make it across America off road! The time is ripe for such an effort.

Full size spare and winch will be critical for long-haul off road travel. I assume the design team is at least aware of the need to include attachment points for third party equipment if these aren’t included as OEM accessories.
