So Im on Windows, however at this point, ive tried the long version of formatting several times now in the last 24 hours and haven't come to 100% completion even after several hours per attempt. Losing my goddam mind with this! haha. Ill try to Repair the disk first and try again.
Additionally, in "FULL FORMATTING" im finding that I get to about 15% completion and then it starts all over again? or drops back down to like 5% and continues on? Does anyone have any recommendations on a 3rd party formatting tool?
Yes, Windows. Yes all 8 steps we followed exactly.
Im starting to think this may be a USB issue? Even though it is literally fresh out of the package new.
If the folders are created automatically, then I still have an issue... "DashCam is not recognizing the USB" Once again, USB has been formatted properly per the manual using 3rd party tool, ive done both soft and hard restarts of the vehicle to no avail.
I want to say, YES, its FAT32, I followed the protocol within the manual exactly, so if that is what the manual suggests, that is how it is formatted. I had to use a third party formatting tool because it was above 64GB.
Ok! This is excellent information! I was not aware the "TeslaCam" need three additional sub-folders within it to function properly! Ill be taking care of this on my lunch break today and hopefully this resolves my issues! Thanks for the insight!
Ive tried both the soft reboot and full reboot on several occasions. Both before and after several reformats of the memory stick. ODD. Im fully updated as far as I know but haven't had luck with the Viewer function working either.
New owner, 3/2020 Model 3, finally got myself the memory stick recommended in the manual. 128GB. I formatted it according to the manual multiple times and yet the vehicle is not recognizing the stick for dashcam purposes. I have the dash cam icon with the gray X. Any solutions out there...
