Tesla Wall Connector load sharing protocol

Right, its figuring out the exact code/syntax in Python to pull the data that is my issue. I’m not a programmer. As I said, I was hoping someone has done it already so I don’t have to figure it out.

Tesla Wall Connector load sharing protocol

I searched the thread, but only found one mention of the sense energy monitor. I've got TWCManager running and monitoring my SolarEdge inverters. Ideally I'd like to charge off of excess solar power only. sense.com allows me to see current usage from the home as well as solar produced. I'd...

I’ve seen a few receive it. I haven’t got it yet.

Back in 2013 I used Pro Tint in West Valley. They wrapped the front half of my first Model S. My second Model S I had wrapped down in Vegas.

Model S - HPWC (High Power Wall Connector)

I’ve got 2 HPWC currently, and put a box in place so I can add 2 more down the road. I’ve got an additional two NEMA14-50 available in the garage for when I have friends needs to juice up.

    Supercharger - Beaver, UT

Anyone rolling through this weekend able to see if they’ve made any progress?

    Utah Tesla Owners

I haven’t looked into this one at all. I read it somewhere else, but I can’t remember where.

I think I heard a rumor it was going to be at the Provo Towne Centre Mall. Perhaps someone else can confirm.

First P85D adopters stuck in black hole

I’m still driving my P85D. I added Ludicrous and LTE support. She still smokes everything I’ve raced, except a McLaren 720s. I just broke 75,000 miles yesterday. Only thing that has me considering upgrading in is more range. I’m sporting 218 on a 90% charge now days.

Elon says AWD and Perf orders start at end of next week!

That’s what I did with my Model S. Got RWD and just over a year later ordered the dual motor. I wasn’t going to make that mistake again.
  13. D

    For those with HomeLink issues.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been having issues since the last software update I received. I’ll give this a shot.

Ah, there is another blue X in the area as well then.

@ccutrer do you have a 3-4 year old son playing soccer? If so, I’m the owner of the grey Model S, with my son on the same team. I never asked when we met if you were on TMC.
  17. D

    Utah Tesla Owners

Agreed. Less than I would have imagined. But keep in mind most of those are concentrated in Salt Lake and Utah counties. I see at least two a day during my commute. So it feels like there are a lot more.

    Beekeeping

Get a really big pot/drum and an old pillow case. Fill the pillow case with the comb + a big rock. Boil water in the pot and drop the pillow case in, the rock should make it sink to the bottom. The wax will melt in the water and filter through the pillow case, floating to the top. Let it cool...

    How often do you charge?

I charge my car to 90% every night. I never have to think about range and if an unexpected drive comes up I’ve got the power I need.
  20. D

    Utah Tesla Owners

I’m building a house right now as well, so I’m considering selling my Model S and driving a 3. I’ve just got to decide if I can live with rear wheel drive only again. As I said, it was acceptable, but I’m a lot more confident with AWD.
  21. D

    Utah Tesla Owners

I drove a P85+ for 2 years in the snow before upgrading to a dual motor Tesla. I’d say snow tires are mandatory. I never got stuck with real wheel drive only, but there were some instances in deep snow that I could not get through. The smooth bottom on the car would slide me up on the deeper...

    Carbon Fiber Rims

Those DYMAGS look nice. Curious about weight as well.
  23. D

    Beekeeping

Yea, that is very area dependent. I let my hives requeen all the time since we don’t have Africanized strains this far north (yet). I’ve found the generally survivability to be far superior to what I can get from the mated queens I can order. Since I don’t use foundation, there are a large...
  24. D

    Beekeeping

How close is the box to the original hive site? If it is relatively close, its very common for bees to fly out of the new hive, and go on autopilot back to their original site. Putting a branch in front of the entrance can be helpful. If the queen is still inside they will definitely congregate...

    Beekeeping

I use all medium in my hives. That way I can move the frames anywhere, and they are not too heavy when full of honey. They will quickly rob out the comb left outside this time of year since the main nector flow is slowing down (at least in Utah).

Utah Supercharger Locations (location speculation, discussion)

I wish they painted charging spaces like that everywhere!
  27. D

    Supercharger - Beaver, UT

It's fixed. All 4 stalls worked this weekend.

Does the car feel slower when the charge is low?

I notice a significant difference in my car once I've dropped below 50% SOC.

Has anybody bought a new Tesla in Nevada to take to another state?

I live in Utah and took delivery of a car in Nevada. Tesla had the temporary permit all ready for me, and I was able to drive home and register my car with no trouble.

I'm up in park city every once in a while. I'll shoot you a pm next time I'm headed up that way.

    Firmware 8.0

Autopilot automatically disables at 90, it always has. Tesla decided its not safe above that speed, so it disables. Great, I have no issues with that. Keeping it disabled once you've slowed down accomplishes what exactly? How does keeping me from turning it back on keep me more safe, I argue it...
  32. D

    Firmware 8.0

You can't force it past 90, it disengages automatically. Now it will no longer let you re-engage it afterwords. What problem does this solve?
  33. D

    Firmware 8.0

I could have exited after 20 minutes or so, but was on a time sensitive trip.
  34. D

    Firmware 8.0

Got this today after passing a car in an 80mph zone. It was super irritating to no longer be able to use autopilot for the next 1.5 hours. I get autopilot disabling if I break 90, but not letting me re-engage it until I put the car in park is just plain stupid. I can't see any way this...
  35. D

What are you using for paint protection?

Full car wrapped with expel ultimate. My first car I only wrapped the front, that was a mistake.
  36. D

    Utah Tesla Owners

Thats awesome news! I've noticed an uptick.
  37. D

    Firmware 8.0

I completely agree. Wading through 30 pages of speculation and garbage to get to actual release details is horrible.
  38. D

    Would you buy another Tesla?

I've already bought 2, and have reserved a 3rd. So, yes. Granted, I've live in the US and service has always done a great job.
  39. D

Do you keep Creep on or off?

Off. On makes the car act like an automatic. It will move forward slowly without you pressing the accelerator.

Trump picks climate denier to head EPA transition

You do realize that most of the states that supported Trump, had large populations of people that did not vote for him? This kind of generalizing is just as dangerous as judging someone based off of their color or religion. If you argue that they relocate, then what people will stand against...

    Power limiting while track lapping

Ludicrous upgrade destroyed time to limiter. I've hit the limiter while driving aggressively on the road. I never did pre-ludicrous.

Tesla will soon introduce new Autopilot safety restrictions after recent accidents

Wk057 previously posted screenshots of the flags. Everything he spoke about existing firmware is truth. I can't comment on 8.0.

    Carbon Fiber Rims

I've had aftermarket wheels on mine several times when it went it for service, no issues for me either. Like artsci said, it may vary by SC.

Rear tires for the P85+ with 21x9 rears -- Michelin, Dunlop or Continental?

Through a friend I managed to get a pair is 265 PSSs for the rear. Cost was $525 a tire.

Monument Valley Scenic Drive - in a Model S?

I take my Model S off-road all of the time. I'd have no concerns whatsoever about driving the loop.

    Carbon Fiber Rims

I got routinely got 18k miles on my PS2s in my P85+. The camber isn't as important as the toe.
