    Sound Deadening Model 3

kilomat would be my choice followed by noico red 150 mil sound insulation over it to block out noise.

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Gotcha. As quiet as I can make the car with minimal work without going overboard with sound proofing, the better. I would like to get the floors done too at least. So to be on the safe side, Power down the car, disconnect the 12V disconnect under the seats, then safely remove the amp and sub. No...

MASTER THREAD: Removing marks from white seats

Had my car get detailed inside. Steam cleaning is my best recommendation for stains. The guy was able to get some off but the trick is to use a steam cleaner and a micro fiber attached to it to take off the blue stains. Guy managed to get off some and showed me.

So in hindsight Power Off the car, follow this video here to remove the 12V battery properly, and THEN remove amp and sub? Ohmmu energy:

    Sound Deadening Model 3

What is the update of this setup as far as rough roads and freeways at high speeds? Has sound truly been nullified to be considered "normal"? I am looking to have this done to my car as well sometime. Also, was it difficult to disconnect the 12V battery or just the same as ICE cars before...

I learned the answers to my questions. Before these forums close for good but thanks for everyone the inputs of sound proofing. Learned a lot because of these forums.

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Thx to your posting I am encouraged to sound proof my trunk again based on your layout. I have some questions: >How many sheets of Luxury Liner Pro did you use? Each sheet is 9 sqft. I would like to do exactly ur setup. >I was looking into kilmat instead of noico for less weight or is it better...

    Solved: wind noise

Black polyethylene foam is what is used for most if not all closed cell sound dampening brands on the net. I bought this, measured the spaces, and cut them down to size. Extras in case I wanted to cut it down more and use it elsewhere or anything in the house: 2 pack 1" x 18" x 18" Black...

    Solved: wind noise

Yeah it really helps, huh? It isn't perfect but it does reduce wind noise by a lot at high speeds. I used closed cell foam because it can't absorb water to try to prevent possible future rust and to help reduce any noise wind trying to pass through.

    Solved: wind noise

I may just get these. Sounds like a great idea to have. Placebo or actual results? I am curious in your experience. I've installed Noico all over my wheel wells and some what on my wheel arch liners along with neoprene foam at my mechanics shop (was rushed a bit to finish) to help control...

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Not sure what shops will do to an extent for sound proofing but it worth a shot to look around and call places. Best results is DIY if you can. Here is the first spot that comes to mind that I checked out while in the showroom to see the Model Y. I have yet to try Thinsulate to control road...

these tires are 235/45R 18 just like the MXM4. I still expect to take a hit on range but idk how much. Sounds about right. I usually get 210-260Wh/Mi on most road conditions on all my drives. Not a fan driving uphill at times. From what Ive gathered on my TeslaFi, If I'm below 248Wh/Mi for 30...

    Sound Deadening Model 3

Got new General AltiMAX rt43 tires installed and was able to install Noico sound deadening mats in the inner wheel wells, neoprene foam and mats on the wheel well liners in the front (plastic). Havent test driven enough but from what I have heard: tires sound a bit hollow (possibly no acoustic...

    Solved: wind noise

I think I will put that neoprene foam that ArticSun linked onto my wheel wells after I put Noico Black sound deadening on them. Neoprene foam is thin and still acts as a sound barrier. I will put as much as I can on them after I fill up the opposite side of the fender that ArticSun did when I...

    Solved: wind noise

Awesome. I will use this for the inner wheel well up to the A pillar. Upon inspecting the fender part on ebay, there are actually holes going into the doors on the other side I can plug up with this. Thank! I will do this this Friday or Sat.

    Solved: wind noise

Do you have any pictures of this? i forgot to ask you this. I am still curious. To me, it sounds like a permanent solution that cannot be undone for say something to go wrong, void warranty, and SC can't fix it because it's permanent, which is why I havent attempted this. You have the product...

    Solved: wind noise

the T-shape car front rubber seal strip isn't a bad idea but for me I dont hear wind coming from the windshield but up the A-pillar to the window. Give it a try im curious. I looked briefly into foam from a can but I don't want a permanent solution that cant be removed in case something needs...

    Solved: wind noise

This should work too. I thought about that hole when I was shoving a piece of the wind reduction kit after i cut it and placed in between the A pillar and fender. I put the other end underneath the A pillar and fender from the door, and then put back the sponge in place to also hold it in place...

    Solved: wind noise

I just ordered some black polyethylene foam (closed-cell) off ebay. Will be here by next Thurs. My tires have balded (didnt rotated every 5k miles but 12k) and im ordering tires off Amazon soon and have my mechanic switch out the tires. Again like last time, I will use the foam in the same spots...

    Solved: wind noise

I highly recommend everyone to attempt to do what I did and stuff foam or sponge between the fender and A pillar underneath. It is night and day at high speeds. I don't have to adjust my music drastically just to hear it anymore: https://i.imgur.com/wn3QkfG.jpg Here is the gaps of a 2020 Model...

    Solved: wind noise

    Solved: wind noise

Just thought I show you guys another idea how to block wind noise. If you go to 16:58 in this youtube video, he indicates about putting foam underneath the fender and A pillar BUT by going up the wheel well. Indicated the SC did put foam but it fell. I am going to have my tires rotated today and...

    Solved: wind noise

Did this work? Did this reduce the wind noise? I hear wind noise coming from the top of the windows. I tried the credit card trick inside the car mentioned earlier on all door seals and the card didnt fall but felt a bit loose on the windows towards the b pillar. I found this offered on Amazon...
