Full Self Driving: To Get It or Not to Get It?

If they come out with the pay per month option, I would like to see them attach the FSD to your account. So if/when you trade in your car, the FSD will follow you to the next Tesla you buy. That way, you can pay monthly, but if you bite the bullet and pay outright, that capability is with you...

Full Self Driving: To Get It or Not to Get It?

I got the FSD with my LR AWD. I use AP most around town, but recently took a 2K mile trip from FL to IN. I loved the FSD. I have also had a couple people park a bit close to me in the parking lot and used my phone to back my car out so I can get in. It is also a pretty cool party trick. Is...

Charging Tesla from a dryer outlet

I typically use my 5-15 outlet (I don't drive much), but I did get a Y-cable for my dryer outlet (14-30) and use it when I need some extra juice after a trip. Works great and much cheaper than getting a new outlet installed.

    Windshield replacement

Check with your state laws or insurance. I know in Florida (FL Statutes, Sec. 627.7288), if you have a comprehensive car insurance policy your insurer must pay for any windshield or repair.

Does car let you know if a light is out?

I saw an M3 today driving with one tail light completely out. Does the car let you know if you have a failure in one of the lights?

What did you name your Tesla?

Currently, it is named Tessie. A bit generic, but only had for 2 weeks so came up with something quick. I am considering changing to Bolt-A-Rama, or Prius... Well, I would like to tell people, "Wanna take a ride in my Prius?" I am a bit goofy like that I guess.

Blocking or covering the air vent output?

It's called menopause. A burden most women face.

Are miles really the correct measurement to use for Tesla?

I have always been perplexed with using miles to determine if a vehicle is reliable. In an ICE car, there are many moving parts that relate specifically to miles (transmission, rear end, bearings, etc..). However, for an engine, I never liked this. My lawnmower and boat used hours which...

How is Tesla gonna prevent looters?

Just so you know, most insurance policies do not include "civil unrest". So insurance will not pay. Check your personal insurance also, many will not pay if your vehicle is damaged/stolen during a time of civil unrest.

Charge to 90% or 80% daily?

I just purchased by M3 this week, and this is definitely my favorite item! It is great to plug and fill instead of turning off your engine, selecting if you are using Debit or Credit, entering your zip code, "Do you want a car wash", "Do you want a receipt", select a grade, remove handle and...
