Hopefully they mean it. Previously got the 6/2 "2 to 4 weeks to delivery" text. And now just got this text: Tesla Update - We currently expect your Model Y to be built in the next 7 days. Has Anyone Who Ordered the Tow Hitch Received a Vin?
I asked for my hitch to be removed yesterday after a rep told me that "none were being produced" and that I should remove it if I want delivery sooner. Clearly, this is not true. This is process is so bizarre. I got an email from a delivery support specialist a few hours ago that said: "...we are currently not producing vehicles with tow hitches. If you would like to take delivery sooner, I would advise removing this from your order and placing an order for the tow...- cdomingo
