Closed my 167.5 (loss) and 172.5CC (profit) for break even on the pair. Probably could have made a profit if we close Red today, but my blood pressure couldn't take it. Live to fight another day. Edit: I should have stayed out of playing the ER anyway.

On the weekly chart, 175 area was the highest close the last 7 weeks. That gives me hope. The monthly chart looks scarier. 200 could be in the cards....

Thanks, but I was asking a more specific question. If the first two days are green (which will greatly reduce the number of occurrences), how often is the 3rd day also green. When I scroll through the chart, after a gap up like we had, I could not find 3 green candles in a row.... The problem...

I may do that with my 160CCs, since letting additional shares go would trigger capital gains taxes.

If we don't have a Red candle tomorrow, I will let my 155CC shares go (Premium was almost $5) tomorrow, and I will look to sell 165 Puts for at least $5 on any drop Monday.

My 155 and 160CCs I plan to roll to next week 165 by giving away the original premium. No real debit. I'm hoping the 167.5 and 172.5CC expire worthless tomorrow so I can sell further OTM CCs and still make some income for next week.

If I didn't have shares tied up, I would definitely be selling 185CC for next week. I don't think premiums are bad for $20 OTM.

I am up on my Covered Call sales. Down big on my NVDA Iron Condor from last month, and my TSLA BPSs from two years ago. In other words - CC sales good, Spreads VERY BAD!!!

This is what I have trouble with. I'm kicking myself for closing the -160/+165P earlier for half the potential value. I always try to hold until Expiry. I need to be better about taking profits and not look at the remaining profits I COULD make if I just hold longer....

I closed my -160/+165P for $2.56 I didn't want to loose that money if the SP closes above 165 on Friday, given that my CCs will also be under pressure if the SP goes up. The goal is to have positions that make money in both directions. Mine, going into ER, were all positioned to make money on...

Regarding my 172.5CC.... I'm asking myself. Would I open a 172.5CC for 0.5 with 2DTE after a 12% run up? I think I would. So why would I close it now out of fear...?

I will leave that to the MBA types here, but the point is they didn't lose $2B. They had it in sitting in lots at the end of the quarters with healthy profit margins on those vehicles.
