No one really knows the algorithm that Tesla uses... And the 'Advanced' setting doesn't automatically get you new updates or 'force' them onto your car as soon as they are available, you might just get them a bit earlier than those that have it on Standard. 'Might' being the operative word....

But there is no 'issue' with Tesla's software to look into. It's totally an issue with the third party. Tesla did not 'introduce an issue' into their car.

I'm still amazed at people that buy a product from a third party vendor and when it bricks due to a Tesla SW update incessantly assert that it's Tesla's fault the car they bought didn't have that feature to begin with.

I guess you could request it and see what they'd charge. They will give you an estimate before you commit. I assume this would be mobile service.

I've actually found the opposite - the time between 'nags' (on regular AP, as I don't have FSD) has dramatically decreased over the past couple of years. A few folks in other threads and sites have commented that they thought the wipers seemed a bit better with the latest update (2024.20.1). It's dry as a bone here in Central NJ so can't confirm personally.

Just some render, those cameras replacing side view mirrors aren't US-legal (or anywhere else except maybe Japan, I don't think...). Juniper should be exactly like the Highland refresh.

And, of course, all of the ratings are US EPA ratings - just mentioning this as we have folks from multiple countries commenting here, which probably use different rating systems and may have slightly different ranges as a result. Although why we're discussing M3 ranges on the MY forum, not sure...

I don't think anyone is 'excusing' it. It is easily the worst feature of the car, and Tesla has made no real consistent headway in fixing it.... The argument that it can't be adapted to is what most of us are discussing. Some people absolutely refuse to accept that there are decent work-arounds.

I could have gotten a refresh M3 in mid-March. They had them at my local store when I was having some service done on my MY. Advertised for $299/month at the time.

It's a moot point since the refreshed version won't look like that. Thankfully.

He wasn't suggesting those tires - he was referencing the ProContact tires that are OEM and DO come in the right size. Not sure why folks were disagreeing with him, other than the fact that there are plenty of tires out there in this size that are appropriate for the MY, and are less expensive...

I think it's just like their regular SW updates - they don't roll out to the entire fleet at the same time, for whatever reason. Don't take it personally... Perhaps the folks in charge of this got hit by Elon's axe...

I got the update early this month then FSD followed on 5/14. I'm still not very impressed. First time I used it it couldn't get out of a parking lot near my home.... Although it is better than the last time I tried it a year or so ago.

It's not a FEATURE its a LEGAL REQUIREMENT. Just turn the radio up. And I'd hate for you to disable this then find out you could have used it to prevent hitting someone. Just because it never happened doesn't mean it wont. 🤷‍♂️

Never did it last year. We canceled the hike due to wind conditions (50 mph sustained, 80 mph gusts) so did a lower level hike instead. And ran out of time to drive up. Perhaps this year.

I suspect yours won't be the first Tesla they have encountered. I also think that if the key card is moved to another location (cup holder, phone charger) it will allow the car to sleep. It has to be in a specific location on the console to work. Not sure about the app, but I've had mine work...
