Installed solar + 2 PWs in 2020 and got the credit. Installed an additional PW in 2022 and got the credit again on just the PW.

I haven't ran the cable yet, but you can connect directly to the gateway using cat5e/6 and remove the need for the zigbee portion. Sorry for the necro-reply.

I added a 220v 50A outlet and it gets the job done. I keep my Tesla adapter connected to the outlet and then just plug in when I come back home.

The Rivian looks like parking lots will cause damage. I'm sticking to the CT.

Problem resolved. If someone comes across this issue, the problem is a subset of PWs that run into this issue when commissioning occurs. Installer can have Tesla manually push an update to correct the problem. Installer told me it’s been a common issue since new installs from December on. Easy...

I don't I have those, just verified. It also wouldn't explain the "DC Stage Fault" --I can't find any reference to this error code in any available documentation. I can only assume the install was incorrect :(

So, is the suggestion to run cat5e/6 and direct connect?

Update: Internet connectivity to the gateway fixed but problem still exists (DC Stage Fault). Kinda annoying. I can't find any documentation on it.

Product road map is a very specific business process. Elon chose his words and failed to deliver. I'm not saying it's a red flag, but it certainly warrants some modicum of concern. I think he's trying to preserve reservation numbers. I'm in the "hardcore" category, as likely many here are, but...

Okay, I figured out the GWY20 Neo Gateway issue. I had to set a static IP and associated information. Popped right up. All is well in the world. Now to figure out why the Powerwall is goofing with the above error.

Thread title is deliberate for future internet knowledge-seekers. I just had an additional Powerwall 2 added to my existing system. This new Powerwall is throwing a DC Stage Fault error and is otherwise not doing anything. That's probably best left for another thread unless someone knows what...

I did, and I apologize for not recalling the fix (over a year ago). I recall a couple wires had to be flipped. I'll see if I can find my notes.

Jcanoe is spot on. The only thing that I will add is that I decided to go with the 14-50 due to having other pieces of equipment that uses it. So, more utility than anything else. Otherwise, I would have gone for the Wall Connector.

I charge for about an hour or two when needed, at the peak of the day. No draw from the two PWs I have, and only solar after PWs are full. 12.24 kW system. It's neat, but not super great. Good enough to get you through a tough spot. Otherwise, I just set my PWs to max and let the solar + grid...

So, only thing I can guess is that something is blocking normal usage and I need to wait for PTO. Batteries are draining and I can’t get them to charge. No meaningful information from Tesla, which is infuriating.

I think that needs to happen (Gateway fix). That's exactly what’s happening.

My system has been stuck in Standby with no power going to my PWs. I found this thread via looking for an answer to my symptom. My initial emotional response aside from the original reply, does Tesla have the ability to keep my system in Standby until my power company gives the PTO?

Same issue. Tesla isn't being helpful.

Just here to say I found this thread due to the same symptoms. System worked awesome for a few days, but now no bueno. Two specific errors: Warning: Solar meter may be configured incorrectly Solar meter requires both positive power and amperage to be configured correctly.
