    Model 3 vs Model Y

Yep, if I was you I would get the 3. The Y is more fun than any other SUV I've driven but there's no getting around its extra height and weight. The 3 would be more fun than the Y, and still practical enough to do most everything you need it to.

Tesla Claims Warranty is Void Due to Aftermarket Puddle Lights

I understand. But in my case I made no changes. The original (OEM) puddle light went out causing the window to malfunction, which almost led to a window breaking. I assume I'm not the first, nor will be the last, person that this happens to, because LEDs do go out and need replacement. It's...

Tesla Claims Warranty is Void Due to Aftermarket Puddle Lights

But if it was an open circuit the window motor would not function at all on door opening, right? In my case the window comes down an inch upon opening the door, but then rolls back up before the door is closed. Maybe the light is connected to a sensor that tells the motor whether the door is...

Tesla Claims Warranty is Void Due to Aftermarket Puddle Lights

Reviving this thread to say my OEM puddle light failed and the window hit the trim. Luckily the window didn't break and my kid didn't try to slam it shut. Began researching the window not rolling down and came across this thread. Went and checked the puddle light, sure enough it was out. Checked...

Stock tires at 4/32" after 5300 miles?

Just to add another data point, I'm at 4/32 and 5/32 at 18k miles on the original Goodyear eagle F1s on inductions. Pretty happy with the handling on them but I'm going to look for something that doesn't wear as quickly next.

Goodyear Tires - No need for foam filled

Did your previous Goodyears only go for 18,000 miles? The stock Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics on mine are getting low with only about 17k miles. Wondering if that's a common experience. If so I'm gonna consider another tire.

Is Phantom Braking Still a Problem?

It sounds like you're seeing similar results as me, right? With the following distance at 3 or 4 phantom braking isn't happening often?

Is Phantom Braking Still a Problem?

What's everyone's following distance set at? When I had it set at 1 car length phantom braking was so frequent I stopped using autopilot. Since I changed it to 3-4 car lengths I've only had one occurrence and overall the experience is much smoother.

Cruise control / Auto Pilot is Garbage

Two questions: Has anyone heard of any instances where phantom braking caused an accident? In the threads I've read about it, no one's actually been rear ended. I'm wondering if it accounts for traffic behind you. Has anyone experienced phantom braking while using only TACC, specifically...

    Snippiness 2.0

I don't think you're lying but I think something is off with your initial reading; either it just wasn't accurate or you misread because EPA estimated range is 326 miles at 100%. 90% should be around 293 mi. As jjrandorin said, it likely has to do with your charging regimen and what the...

Would you still buy a Model Y now if you could do it again?

Yes. I shoulda got red or black, though.

    Model Y hitch (Draw-Tite)

I have the 20" inductions also. To remove the lug nut covers you need to slide something behind those little slots and pull out. There's a diagram in the owner's manual. The covers are held in place with some plastic tabs and a circular spring. I've been using a hex wrench; slip the short end...

Lexus RX 350 to Model Y

We had an RX450 before the Y. I'd say the RX was probably more comfortable with its softer suspension, but the Y is better in almost everything else: acceleration, handling, convenience, utility, tech, sound system. We've been really happy with it so far.

How Do You Remove the Induction Wheel Lug Nut Cover?

Had a hell of a time pulling off one of the covers and ended up snapping off the plastic clips on the back. Has anyone gotten a replacement cover from Tesla? They don't have it on the website. The only replacement I've found online is this one for $50. CTESYU30 Tesla Model Y OEM Dark Charcoal...

    Model Y purchase options

They ask for payment before delivery but it's not required unless something's changed. I did my inspection and had the option to refuse delivery before I wrote the check.

    Using Carvana to Trade-In, thoughts?

Selling to Carvana was awesome for me. I scheduled and they came to my house to pick up my car about 10 days after I got my quote. I was worried they wouldn't honor the original quote when they got here (quote says it's good for 7 days), but nothing like that happened. Process was fast and...
