    Vredestein Quatrac Pro +

@Davd120 Any more info you can share? Looking for something to replace the Conti's on my 2021 Y. The Continentals are harsh on bumps, not great in inclement weather. Very curious about these, even though they don't label them as EV tires.

    Supercharger - Clovis, NM

I got stuck in Hobbs a few weeks ago because the CCS wouldn’t initiate. 2h40m later after charging at a NEMA plug in town I got from 9% to 35% and hobbled to Midlands TX at 50mph. I’ll go Santa Rosa - Lubbock next time and just drive slower for range. All that energy in SE NM and west Texas and...

    Highland FSD?

What a bummer that Tesla had the deadline for transfers but there's no FSD ready for the TM3.2

Supercharger - Las Vegas, NM - 7th St

Why unlikely? I've stopped at the Jackson, TN location (Casey Jones museum!) several times the past couple years. This past December it had been upgraded from 8 150 KW chargers to, wait for it... 24 250 KW chargers. My jaw dropped when I drove up to charge. The old 150s were piled up nearby...

    Supercharger - Bernalillo, NM

Yes, I wonder when that transition will start hitting non-Tesla FDCCs. Ford has announced availability of its CCS to NACS adapter, but I think they're the only one.

    Supercharger - Bernalillo, NM

Especially Bernalillo which has a Tesla service center! I expect it has to do as much with population density as anything. They've built out most of the interstate areas, though I am surprised that Taos and Durango still have no superchargers. Lots of Teslas now in Santa Fe and similar areas...

    Supercharger - Clovis, NM

I saw that too. Looks like the CCS will be open in March. Fortunately, I upgraded my Y to the CCS chip last Summer. Still, I wish Tesla would get moving on these underserved parts of New Mexico and southern Colorado. Just a handful of superchargers in strategic locations would make a world of...

    CCS Retrofit Availability (2023)

Can’t live without it if you want to travel in south east New Mexico or parts of southern Colorado like up to Durango and Ouray. I bought the part last Summer and installed it myself last Summer in my 2021 Y. Then I was able to visit Ouray and Carlsbad from Santa Fe. Installation took a...

Winter setup (Pirelli PZero Winter 19” ?)

I just ordered the Zero Winters for my LR Model Y. Won't be mounted until this weekend, but may report back later after the 500 mile break in period. Plenty of snow here in Santa Fe.

How to remove trunk trim to access the ECU?

I’ve successfully used CCS chargers a bunch of times in the past week. Allowed me to go places in NM and CO I couldn’t have. I’m very glad companies are adopting Tesla’s NACS in the future. CCS cables are heavy and unwieldy. I can’t imagine a little old lady managing these awful things.

2021 Y CCS Upgrade DIY: My experiance

I did this upgrade this morning. The hardest part was disassembling and reassembling the interior. Be careful with clips and the smaller electric wiring connector for the seat release. After I used service mode to reinstall the software. No problems. Tested on 120 volt charging, ChargePoint...

    CCS Retrofit Availability (2023)

I've got the adapter but maybe don't want to wait until H2 for Tesla to make the retrofit available for Model Ys. https://www.2muchsun.com/single-post/how-to-enable-ccs-adapter-support-on-model-3-and-y I came across this DIY. Anyone know for sure if installing myself will *not* violate the...

Model Y charge port ECU replacement CCS

Answering the first two questions myself: * ECU from Tesla * Model Y needs no wiring harness (that was only earlier TM3s) Sounds like the warranty is OK ( How to enable CCS1 adapter support on older Model 3s and Ys now without waiting for Tesla ), but would love verification on that.

Model Y charge port ECU replacement CCS

Since Tesla is now showing H2 of 2023 for Model Ys, I'm interested in doing this. * Where did you get your ECU? * Where did you get the wiring harness? * How does this affect the car's warranty? Cheers, Jamie

2022 Model Y LR Wind Noise.

Tesla service won't go over the speed limit, 65 or 70 in I64 in Richmond, so even if they did drive it, they weren't going to hear the noise. Too bad... I'll be looking to some of those trouble-shooting ideas higher up the thread. Thanks for those!

2022 Model Y LR Wind Noise.

I have the same issue: right front area noise that starts at about 70mph. If I'm near a semi or other large vehicle, the turbulence can make the noise disappear. Once I'm out of the truck's turbulence it's back. The noise isn't loud, but it is incredibly annoying. It just drills into my right ear.

State inspection in Charlottesville ( Cville )

Thanks. That is where I ended up going, but I was reluctant because in 2003 they completely chewed up a wheel of my then very new Jetta. They did replace it with a new wheel, but this is the first time I've been back since then! They were fine and the guy I dealt with was very familiar with Teslas.

Music randomly blares from speakers at full volume

Same here with my iPhone. It's a real problem. My ears are already damaged enough! I turn on a source from my iPhone and it doesn't matter what volume I had on the Tesla, it's maxed the next time. If the phone was previously selected, even the DING! when it reconnects is deafening. Come on...

    Current Delivery Times

It seems pretty ridiculous, but there is a global controller chip shortage, global shortages of other parts, and a completely screwed up global supply chain right now.
