Any update on smartglass on Tesla? Looks like Porsche/BMW Xi went with Frost Smart roof called PDLC and GM/Ferrari went with Tint Smart Glass called SPD/Suspended Particle Device. It seems there is heavy adoption coming especially for electric automakers.

Which motortrend article? Do you have a link? They really need the smart glass in the top front windshield of the cybertruck. That large band should be able to keep it clear when cloudy or at night so you have a nice clear view.

Just to follow up. The Spd Smartglass default is dark and when power is applied it goes clear in a couple of seconds. You can also control how much tint you want.

The frosty stuff is cheap looking and not the right fit. By crazy coincidence all this came out over the weekend. A former employee who worked on this project at Tesla spilled some of the beans on this. Read her twitter last few days and her web site link. It seems it is coming to tesla but...
