Suspension Clearances for Wider / Taller tires

I had mine from 8,000mi all the way to 45,000. There was literally no wear at all on the fronts on the rears though, that's a different story 😂

    Chevy Equinox the Tesla killer?

On a side note, on our old 2017 Mazda CX9 I remember going out of town and I wanted the local Mazda dealership to look at an issue we were having.Their response when I requested to have them take a look "Did you purchase your vehicle from us? If not, I'm going to have to charge you" .

    Chevy Equinox the Tesla killer?

Compared to who though? I'm tired of dealers saying "If we can't replicate the problem we can't fix it" We had a problem with the VTC actuator on our old Honda Accord on a cold start, I went as far as making a video showing the problem. The dealer just went back to ""If we can't replicate the...

Ford’s electric F-150 Lightning just got much cheaper

Which dealer would that be in Oklahoma? Care to share? Here in the US, as long as dealerships exist. Those ADM's will always be present. As a matter of fact, Tustin Cadillac here in California promised they would not add any ADM to the Cadillac Lyric. They turned their back on their customers...

Ford’s electric F-150 Lightning just got much cheaper

Although, it’s more than likely the dealer will eat that markdown via ADM. Like they have been constantly marking up the lightning prior to this adjustment. Wishful thinking on my part that dealers will play nice with consumers.

Tesla Service experience with 2 flat tires in Big Bear area

This is really odd and I've used Tesla's Ranger service twice. why didn't you take advantage of the tire loan program and change the tires on the spot? We had a Tesla ranger come and swap the tires for us at Kern River. On a side note .. "No real person to talk to resolve urgent concerns"...

    Goodbye all; Good riddance Tesla

    EV6 vs MY boost?

Perhaps you should inflate your PSI to 45. I’m genuinely curious if the2022/23 Ioniq 5 could reach Tesla’s 2020 Model Y range.
  17. Sixth

    EV6 vs MY boost?

And still against Dual Motor vs RWD and a trim that is nearly 2 years old. It’s going to be really interesting if Hyundai releases a performance trim. In regards to the PSI, the recommended tire pressure is in line with sport crossovers for this segment.

    EV6 vs MY boost?

Look again that test was conducted on the 2020 Model Y .Take a wild guess what the size of the pack was at the time. Keep in mind that’s with dual motor.
  19. Sixth

    EV6 vs MY boost?

I did not say anything about EPA, you did. That’s your whole talking point, (who is closer to their EPA) Regardless what the rated range is for both vehicles the Ioniq 5 falls short compared to Tesla‘s range on the highway.
  20. Sixth

    EV6 vs MY boost?

The test is always done at a constant 70mph , despite what the EPA estimates are. The ioniq 5 falls short in regards to range compared to the Model Y
  21. Sixth

    EV6 vs MY boost?

The real world range on the EV6 and Ioniq 5 has been pretty poor according to various reviewers. The Ioniq 5 does 195mi at 70MPH on 20" wheels and 227mi on 19" wheels. The 2020 Y does 276mi at 70mph on 19" wheels. (and that's on the older 75kWh pack) What I find amusing here , despite the Mach E...

Range on road trip much lower than expected (<200 miles on full charge)

This is from our old 2020 Model Y. Round trip from San Gabriel, CA to San Diego,CA and back On a side note, wheels and tires make a substantial difference on range. 250 mi round trip with 11% left on the pack going at 65mph I'm sure the newer Model Y's with the larger pack can go a bit...

If ford made the bronco an ev would it sell like mad?

Probably on a short term lease. There is no way in hell I would own a Ford. Trying to get rid of one is a pain in the ass. And whether it’s electric or fossil fuel. It’s still just a Ford.

Car & Driver: The Mach E is simply better than the Model Y

They dropped the ball when they raised the base trim Bolt to 45k before subsidies when Tesla had battery supply issues in 2017. Even Tesla didn’t raise the price of the Model 3 despite the supply issues which was 38k at the time.

Sold my Model S, bought an Ioniq 5

The 2022 battery pack size for the ioniq5 is equivalent to what the battery pack size was on the 2020 Model Y. Given what’s coming out this year and onwards it doesn’t make any sense to get the ioniq5. On a sidenote, even the current Model 3 which has a smaller chassis has a larger pack.

Technically you don’t, any Tesla can and will redirect you to a Supercharger along your route if your trip exceeds your battery pack’s current SoC. We really live the styling, but the 72kWh battery is too small compared to what is on the market already. We were disappointed when Hyundai released the specs for the battery pack. Looking forward to Hyundai’s Seven (hopefully that gets past concept and they put in a more robust pack)
