Im having the same trouble with my 2020 Model X LR. The update keeps failing. Then the car wouldn't start up. I had to do a hard reset (change wheel size) to get it started. My service appointment is in a few weeks. Hopefully the car will last that long.
Hi: @maximus96 I took your recommendation and got the same Gorilla lock set for my 2020 Tesla MX. And I am about to install them this weekend. How are they doing after a month of use? Any complaints?
Hi: I've purchased my 2020 Tesla X last month (July 2020) and I'm already a Tesla fanatic. I'm from Darien, CT. I can now understand why Tesla owners are a fanatical bunch.
Actually, it was professionally installed by a licensed electrician. Thanks for the info. I will speak with my electrician immediately. I appreciate your assistance and responses.
Finally realized that I could edit the vehicle's amperage intake on the MX touchscreen and change it to 40 amps. Now I'm charging at 30 mph instead of the 23 mph of the Gen 2 UMC.
This new dedicated NEMA 14-50 plug with the Mobile Connector only charges at 30 amps although it is rated at 40 amps.
I installed the NEMA 14-50 receptacle to a 60amp circuit breaker. Additionally, I have a 2020 Tesla MX Long Range Plus
How can I get the full 40 amps out of this model...
