    Reinstall hung in service mode!

My M3 is a 2020 long range AWD with FSD. Like many here, my last few firmware updates have been problematic. 2023.27.7 hung at 60 percent for 72 hours, but I was able to reinstall the previous version in service mode and the new download resumed. A week ago I got a notice that 2023.44.30.3 was...

    2022.8.2

OK, I just updated today and have a glitch I haven’t seen anyone report in this thread. Any time I touch the brake pedal, I get a chime and an onscreen alert that says “Both Pedals Depressed, Motor Power Disabled.“ I have regen braking set to Standard and Hold enabled, so I do a lot of...

2021 M3 Demo [question about average pricing]

I bought a 2020 demo. There was a standard discount that varied by mileage, and I didn’t have to pay a transportation fee because it was already at the service center closest to me. I thought it was a good deal because it was exactly the car I would have ordered, I avoided the wait and I got...

Occasional Error Code from M3 - Driver pillar camera blocked

Please update after your mobile service. They told me there’s nothing that can be done about condensation, that a recent firmware update made the pillar cams more likely to generate the error and they’re hoping it will be fixed in another update. In other words, they told me to live with the...

Cracked Windscreen - anyone else had the same?

A few months back I was driving sedately down a winding country road on a gorgeous sunny day. A hickory tree decided to drop a tennis-ball-sized green nut at the exact second I passed under it. My windshield looked like it had taken a shotgun blast right where the camera is located on the mirror...

    Model 3 - Remote reset

Not sure if it’s the same issue, but if the WiFi signal to my garage is cut off for any reason, I need to reboot my 20 M3 before it will reconnect. In my case I needed a repeater to get a reliable signal to the garage. But I occasionally disconnect the repeater to hardwire my laptop or game...

    Condensation in B-pillar cameras

Mobile tech just left. He found no hardware issues. He said Tesla is aware it’s a common problem that has gotten worse recently because of a firmware update that made the pillar cameras more sensitive in an effort to better incorporate them in security and self-driving systems. When the pillar...

    Condensation in B-pillar cameras

I’m waiting for a mobile service visit for my ‘20 M3 AWD, but I can tell you the company line. If your car was manufactured before March 2019, there is a service bulletin fix that involves removing a fabric patch behind the pillar cameras to allow better air circulation. If your car was made...

    FIrmware refuses to update?

Turn in a service request. Tesla can clear a botched update and force a reinstall.

Anyone else dislike the new UI?

Tesla owners: “We want a car that is always on the cutting edge of technology, as long as they don’t change anything once we get used to it!”

    Lost NOA?

Weirdness continues. Woke up yesterday and found the option for NOA had returned to the nav screen when I entered a destination. Took a drive and it seemed to be working fine on the Interstate. Then a few hundred yards from the exit I got a notification something like “NOA is no longer...

    Lost NOA?

To answer your questions, features are a mixed bag. Stoplights and speed limits are still recognized, but changing lanes on signal doesn’t work. The cameras and the car are clean, and I did a recalibration. After both the system reboot and the power shutoff I disabled and enabled all the FSD...

    Lost NOA?

I’ve always had good luck using NOA before. Now I can’t get it to enable at all.

    Lost NOA?

Twice now my 20 M3 LR has lost the ability to navigate on autopilot. I’m currently on 2020.44.15. All the FSD options are set correctly, NOA shows as enabled. But when I chose a destination, there is no button to turn it on and I am limited to standard autopilot. The first time it happened was...

    2020.36.10 has some real problems

You can also touch the speed limit readout on the screen and the car will adjust to the limit. But cypher is correct. The setting can be found under the Autopilot Menu.

    Regen Braking <3

One-pedal driving is natural and efficient when you get used to it. My better half is still reluctant to get out of creep mode and low regen braking after almost five months of mostly city driving. Takes all kinds!

    2020.36.10 has some real problems

Same issue here with seeing signs. Sometimes it does, sometimes not. But the 5 mph over is a setting you control. It won’t exceed the limit unless you have authorized it.

All Used Model 3 Include FSD

I bought my ‘20 M3 LR AWD in April. It was a demo with FSD. They removed the FSD and gave me a discount for the miles it had been driven before purchase. I thought it was a fair deal, but after a few months of learning how to use AP I decided to buy the FSD before the price went up. No regrets!

Is this fixable or will it never be the same?

Glamisduner, Yesterday at 9:32 PM I forgot to mention, no video, because I pulled over to check the damage before remembering to hit the record button :( Unless there is some trick to getting the video feed back? Even though you can’t view it in the car, the video should still be on your USB...
