    Trade In a Leased Car

In Illinois you get the full trade-in amount as a reduction in the purchase price of the new vehicle for sales tax purposes. This actually changed January 1, 2022.

    2022.12.3.1 / Model 3 / Seat Warmer App

Right past you... again... If you want to move a shortcut to another screen what do you have to do??? (Hint, it's THE SAME AS WHAT YOU DO IN A TESLA - tap and hold).

    2022.12.3.1 / Model 3 / Seat Warmer App

Not missing what you are saying at AT ALL. Various people in this thread apparently can't read release notes that clearly state to "Long press any app icon to enter edit mode, then drag the desired control to the bottom bar." Also, there is NO reason to use the ellipsis get to the seat...

    2022.12.3.1 / Model 3 / Seat Warmer App

The ellipsis is there in order to access/use other apps that you have not docked. The process of customizing/editing those that you dock is straightforward - long press an app. Simple. P.S. I also think the recently used slots are dumb.

How do you get yourself out if you child lock yourself at the backseat??

Whatever did we do before you could access a car with an app? It was horrible, horrible I say. Oh wait, it really wasn't. You dug up a Reddit post from 4 years ago? I stand corrected. Yep, 2 people out the 2 million cars Tesla has sold - it really is a huge problem that requires...

How do you get yourself out if you child lock yourself at the backseat??

I am truly speechless. You flagged someone to let you out of your car? What do you do if the blankets get twisted in the middle of the night, call the fire department?

2018 Model 3 bricks in the turn lane

The car didn't "brick." That term refers to an EV battery that has been discharged to zero and will not recharge. If you've never had an ICE throw a rod, break a motor mount or had a blowout count yourself lucky. There are a hundred other things that break in an ICE that also cause this...

2018 Model 3 bricks in the turn lane

Sucks that it happened and I'll be curious as to the diagnosis, but expecting "Tesla engineers need to develop some emergency workarounds when there’s a possible cataclysmic event" (p.s. they do, those were the messages you were seeing) is interesting when you can have the same type of problem...

    Anyone go P->LR?

We just sold our 2020 stealth performance 3 and picked up a 2022 LR 3. For us it was a no brainer. Sold the 2020 (with 40k miles) for more than new 2022 cost, pocketing about $2k (even after taxes). Also sold for more than the 2020 cost new. Bizarre market right now. We got some nice updates...

Doing the unthinkable. Looking at a non-Tesla to replace my S.

That is too much drain. Something is keeping your car awake. Do you leave the fob in it (or nearby - even in the house if it is by the door it can be too close)? In your pocket and you walk by the car?

Going to go buy a Nexo if tesla doesnt get it together

    1) It's Nexo, not Nexon 2) 380 miles is NOT "even better than electrical (sic) cars" (see Model S with 19" wheels - 405 miles) 3) You still have to go somewhere to fill it (and in your case that is at least 142 miles away in Citrus Heights) 4) You CANNOT road trip with it Thanks for joining...

Model X falcon door accident...are you kidding me?

^^ This Sorry it happened OP, but CaliSurfer is dead on. All cars will drive with doors open (admittedly we only have Teslas at this point, but from my recollection that is not unique) and anything we hit when a door is open (and being warned) is our fault.

Pushing Skip Homelink and backing out of garage - $1,400 dent

This. Hitting "skip" Homelink does exactly what it says - it stops the car from transmitting the Homelink signal to open/close the door. I always take a quick peek thru the roof to ensure that the garage door is fully open AND STOPPED before I back out since, as OP mentioned, you can't see a...

Premium Connectivity cost $9.99/month for many Model 3 versions

    1) It's not normal. Those of us with Premium Connectivity watch Netflix regularly. 2) Yes, it has a modem. That's how we watch (or listen to Spotify, etc...). 3) No, Tesla has NEVER allowed you to hotspot from the car's modem to your device like your Ford.
