    UPDATE on bent hood: Here is the whole story... I installed it correctly and it was working great. I went to program the homelink (it comes with a tiny remote) and apparently the homelink is for closing only. There were no instructions or warnings about this anywhere. I found this out later...

    i don’t even know. It was working perfect. Then I was trying to program the homelink and using the supplied remote and it was trying to open but the latch wasn’t releasing. Now it won’t close because it’s so bent / mid-aligned.

    Ok thanks. I didn’t want to mess “Injecting” a signal into the vehicle as stated on their website. That kinda thing can really void your warranty.

    I’m ready to pull the trigger on the frunk but I’m unsure which one to get... I have homelink but I often use the button in the Tesla app to open my detached garage and don’t want to mess with that. How would it work with my current garage door?
