    You're also lucky you weren't rear ended. I live down the hill from you and have been rear ended twice on the 405 in the last five years. Once because traffic slowed quickly and I was not quite attentive enough and stopped quickly (all manual in a Prius), but the car behind the car behind me...

    If you are going to have to pay (which it appears you don't), you might want to hire a failure analysis expert/company to evaluate the issue. They do what people here are piping in with, but they can look at the car.

    How are the mounts attached? Look like they are bonded somehow which would be nice. We have the same roof, elastomeric coating this year. No hurricanes in Southern California. And how did they pick the angle?

    Thanks. Between 0 and 33 degrees, an approx 9 percent difference. But only 1 percent between 23 and 33 degrees

    How much less efficient is the flat installation compared to an optimum angle (approx. equal to latitude)? Or are panels better now and it's not so important. Owner of a flat roof at 34-degrees latitude.

    Tesla Insurance - first use/experience (minor)

    Being stopped along side a freeway with narrow shoulders is dangerous. Driving slowly on a flat may do some damage to the tire (likely) and wheel. So getting off the freeway is the smart thing to do.
