Thanks. I did similar math and went ahead and filed the claim. Reading posts everywhere (here, FB groups, reddit), my gut says it well be 8K+. Let's see what happens. If the damage to the door is significant, probably 10-15K.

1000 miles is $60 at best. It's definitely nice to have if it's an option but going out of the way for it seems a bit pointless, especially when splurging so much on a brand new car.

Got loan sanctioned from Pasadena Federal Credit Union for the 1.85% 60 months for the entire amount. DCU offer 1.75% but has the absurd requirement to direct deposit the entire salary into their checking account. Not sure if it's worth the hassle to try it with DCU.
