Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

Renders the "Stalls Free" in ABRP, Tesla App and On-Screen competely redundant. I've found this to a useful factor to decide whether to stop and charge (and possibly wait) or press on to the next SC with more availability and arrive with a lower state of charge. When more sites start to open...

    Dark Mode

I also prefer dark mode as it doesn’t highlight so negatively the swathes of emptiness on the drive screen part of the display. The UI just looks better. On V10 I always preferred the display at night, but nightmode was just too difficult to use in the day. The Dark Mode of V11 might only be a...

Charge place scotland since takeover - all fine?

Fort William is certainly a game changer in the Western Highlands. We’ll be up there in a few weeks, nice to know you can easily top on arrival. Nothing beats the fuzzy feeling of pulling in to a V3 Tesla SC. I think there’s also some shiny new non-Tesla chargers installed next to the Tesla...

    Packed Superchargers

Nothing so complex as that I'm afraid, just a passing interest, especially the newer ones to see the take-up. Warrington (Park Royal Hotel) is constantly at capacity (2) during the day. The charge rate is also very poor, even if you arrive at a very low state of charge.

    Packed Superchargers

It's often argued that there was similar anxiety within the SC network prior to the arrival of the M3, but I completely agree with @ParHunter's comments and its unlikely we reached a point of 11 MS/MX awaiting charging just before the arrival of the M3. I have a strange interest in monitoring...

Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

The big question is whether SuC installations will keep pace with the number of new Teslas being put on the road. We haven’t even had the arrival of the MY yet, which has now overtaken sales of M3s in the US. It’s notable how much busier SuC are now. The future certainly looks interesting, but...

    UMC/3-Pin charger tripping fuse board...

I had exactly the same problem and on the electricians advice I replaced the fuse board. Still no luck. I logged a service request on the Tesla App, a few days later the Ranger called with a replacement UMC. We kept swapping the new and old just to confirm the lead was at fault. New one still...

+2 Highly recommend CPS charger in Arisaig too👍

    Scotland road trip

We had a week in the Fort William area last September travelling in our M3P from the North West. Simply an amazingly well matched car to the roads of the highlands. Regen braking and loads of accessible power made it a dream for touring around all kind of roads. Just had to be a bit careful with...

    [UK] 2021.4.x

Just to chip in, I’m sure many people already know this, but i find it simple to “share” directions from Google Maps on my phone. In the Google Maps App you just hit the 3 buttons in the top right, select “Share” from the pop up menu then choose “Tesla”. The directions then just forward to...

    Refusing/ Declining Delivery

Lockdown March delivery here too, minor trim issues only and easily rectified by the excellent mobile service chap. The most surprising thing about my collection was that it was a beautiful day and the car was absolutely pristine. Just couldn’t get over how well presented it was.

European BEV Sales 2020 - Tesla down to nr 3 and share down by 10%

I can’t wait to see a German built Model Y with a cast rear end and the new bigger battery cells. Seriously great car potentially and likely to be Tesla’s biggest seller in Europe. Simultaneously launched with a Chinese model 2 and both with the umbrella of the Model S being the world’s...

    Condensation in rear lights

Collected my M3 late March 2020 and had zero misting or water in any of the rear lights until a really bad storm in August. Immediately afterwards one light was notably full of moisture, droplets on the lens etc. This didn’t clear despite being left in the sun for 2 weeks. Eventually it was...

48.26 UI Changes - thumbs up or down?

Initially devastated the Navigation and Spotify display had been reduced, but the bigger picture I suppose is that the larger drive screen area will probably be very useful for a multitude of other purposes. Looks a bit of a hash at this point, but I think with the right tweets in the months...

    Seat Cleaning products

+1. Any occasional transfer seems to clean off with a damp cloth and a bit of AG Interior Shampoo. After 9 months seats look like new. One aspect rarely mentioned is the white seats do hide dust, which I think can be prone to build up on the black ones.

    Speakers cutting in and out

This happened to me after the last update. An overnight deep sleep seemed to cure it. I tried soft and hard resets but this made no difference. The following day all was returned to normal.

Sound Quality lost after Update 2020.44.25

Sound System back up and running, wonder if it just needed a deep sleep?

Sound Quality lost after Update 2020.44.25

Just booked a service appointment and hoping they can send down some OTA magic. It’s amazing how you take the amazing Sound System for granted.

Sound Quality lost after Update 2020.44.25

Updated to 2020.44.25 today (M3P) and after rebooting I’ve lost all sound to the front base (bottom door) speakers and rear sub. When the fade setting is to the centre there’s just an intermittent clicking sound in the rear. Just doesn’t sound good at all. I’ve tried both hard and soft reset...

    Round trip options

All depends on regularity of SC. Occasionally we visit family in the Midlands which is a 200 mile round trip from the north down the M6. We pass Keele and Hilton Park both on the way down and on the way back. I personally prefer to set off with about 80% charge then top up on the way back for...

    Model 3 colour choice - I’m indecisive!

Simply no bad colours (sorry, I’m not being much help), but I can definitely vouch for the white interior. It just has such a sense occasion. With 6,000 miles on the clock it still looks new and is effortless to keep clean. I regularly wear denim without transfer issues.

    [UK] 2020.40.x

Updated to 40.4 MP3, not FSD. Nope, it didn’t clear the water in my rear light, ah well, maybe next time!

    ABRP mobile app

I decided to play about with the IOS App to see if I could find a pattern to my white screen bugging. I found it happened every time I tried to navigate directly to a Tesla SC. I just downloaded the latest Apple update and confirm this issue looks at this point to be fixed. Fingers crossed!

    ABRP mobile app

I’ve only been using ABRP for about 6 weeks now, primarily to assist a trip to the Scottish Highlands. It was absolutely amazing for calculating the SOC required on departure and also en-route charging required etc. It worked flawlessly, however yesterday it was a real nightmare on the iOS app...

Is anyone completely happy with their M3?

Last 2 cars were BMW 5 Series Tourings, ran from new and we’ll beyond end of lease. Simply fantastic family cars. With trepidation I ordered an MP3 and wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. Delivery day was incredible, my car was prepped surprisingly well for a lockdown collection and had zero...

    Condensation in rear lights

I suffered water penetration in my NSR light after a heavy downpour, despite all lights being perfectly dry for 4 months. I raised a mobile service request and attached a couple of photos. Light remained very wet inside for two weeks, despite good weather. It suddenly cleared, so I was concerned...

    Chargeplace Scotland 50kw CCS??

Some of the CPS chargers really do cut the mustard in more remote locations too. We also had a useful CCS charge in Arisaig, which was surprisingly free. Nice to see Fort Bill now on the in Car Navigation, would be interesting to know if preconditioning gets a higher rate than the 30kw we had.

    Model 3 Colour choice

Think that combination also suits the Dark Graphite rims. Really classy.

    Model 3 Colour choice

I went for MP3 Red with Black/White interior. Fantastic combination and really pops when clean in bright sunshine. The more TM3’s I see the more I realise I’d be very happy with any colour except black. They all just look so much better clean and all suffer when dirty. The colour options are...

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

Charged (very slowly) at Fort William this morning. During our stay we watched both a BMW i3 and a Mercedes PHEV give up on the single CPS charger. Seriously embarrassing how far ahead the Tesla charging experience is.

Wiki UK and Ireland Supercharger Site News

Passed by Fort William Superchargers this afternoon to see progress. Can confirm they’re virtually complete. Tesla Technicians were there updating firmware and performing final checks etc. Apparently they should be operational tonight, but will only appear on the Navigation system in a week or...
