Quick update from me. Got my car back from Tesla with the applied from Tesla that is supposed to fix the screen blanking issue. Just had it go completely blank along with the MCU screen on a drive today. It also lasted a long time, much longer than other times it happened.

My car is still at the service centre and they say they have fixed the issue. They say it was down to the MCU screen and IC screen competing for resources and crashing the system. They have now changed the priorities to always put the IC screen first. So I guess I may still be getting the MCU...

My car is currently in the SC. They have managed to reproduce the issue on a test drive and say they have got the engineers looking into it. But then they told be me they were doing that a couple of months ago.

It's been a while since my last post, but I pickup up my Model X from the service centre and on the drive back the instrument cluster turned off. Then a couple of days later this happened: Tesla have said it looks like it might be a known firmware issue :oops:

Yes, it has those. I checked on the specs and it comes up as Intel Atom. Also, the main MCU screen stayed on working. It was just the IC

I was driving my loan Model S while my Model X is at the service centre getting repairs done. Its been almost 2 months... While driving about 2 weeks ago the instrument cluster completely died and was completely blank until it reset itself. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have another sc appointment coming up this week or them to look at the issues that were done badly last time. I am also talking my brother who owns a car bodyshop with me for some backup. I’ll let you know how it goes

I have it on my 2020 MX Performance, 4,000 Miles. Even on low ride height, SC said they couldn't hear a noise or find anything wrong with it.

I am still trying, they did also paint the door shut too with flat white as you say, and it's bubbling up too. I have sent photos asking if that is part of their spec too.

They said to be that checking the glove box is not part of their checklist on used cars, I would love to know what there 200 point checks are. Not that they actually do them anyway as the car has lots of issues and I ended up have to reject it.

Mines been terrible, they didn't fix everything they said they would through the app. They said it would be 1 day. I said I thought that is unlikely with the amount of work. They phoned me in the evening saying it will be ready the next day. Didn't hear anything else for a week after that. When...

You are right, I don't think is are asking too much, for them to at least honor there word. I know there are lots of people who don't have any issues. But there are lots with them

That's one of the things that annoyed me, they gave me a repair estimate to the work that they would do. And they said on that they will "remove and replace the front bumper". But they didn't, they just did bad smart repaires. They also didn't replace some of the trim parts they said they would.

When I bought a used model X from Tesla, it had the old owner's V5 and trade in sheet in the glove box, it had name, address, phone number, and email address on it. I reported it to Tesla and they didn't seem too fussed about the issue.

The black trim looks much better, I am thinking of getting mine wrapped in satin black

Watch out for overspray when you pick it ip. Mine was covered in it, on the window trims and rubbers. Its now "within Tesla spec" I was told

Picked up the car in October, booked the service appointment the same day to have it fixed. Got an email from them at the end of October saying they had to order a lot of stuff in and then they finally did the work in December

When I picked up mine they said they would fix all the issues, then after I took it into the Service centre they repaired it portly and did more damage to other parts of the car and told me its within spec.

I believe I have 30 days to reject the car according to my consumer rights, with all the problems listed I think I have grounds to do so.

I quick update, still no sign of the V5 for the car, but it looks like Tesla as registered the car to there address! Oh and they also told me that there used cars are "sold as seen"

So I did check the tyres when I saw it and noticed that it looked quite low, the MOT just confirmed my suspicions about it. I have been on the phone to various people at Tesla but so far have yet to be offered a proper resolution to the matter.
