You mean the models that financed the development of fsd? :). If I was Elon I would do $1000 updates to mcu2 for all owners that pre purchased fsd. And be done with it.

I’ve been waiting since January. About to give up and over pay for 5 year old hardware retrofit.

As an owner of two mcu1 cars I would rather pay to jump to Ryzen then pay to move to intels currently dead model line.

I dropped by the service center on Saturday and they reported the drive unit is bad and will be replaced.

My rwd motor is being replaced right now by tesla under warranty. That warranty expires in 30 days (skin of my teeth). Once it’s expired, I would be interested to see if you guys would replace the coolant seal with the better designed unit? If so, any idea of the cost? It’s a late 2014 s85.

Any update? My car had a string of errors today BMS_f008_HW_HVIL being the one I got before the computer shut off. I had it towed to tesla, now I’m puckering waiting to see how much they’re gonna charge me.

Thanks so much for posting this. My 2014 s85 has thrown some Sw isolation errors and my fear is the pack is going out. At least if it does I can enjoy faster charging speeds. :)

Not yet.

I would say the opposite. My 2014 had its original battery until 2019, 5 years, 80k miles. The battery I put in it in September of 2019 just died, less then 3 years later, and 25k miles.

I’m a 2014s85 owner. Three things I would like are the ability to swap my battery pack from a 85 to a 90 or 100. To swap my motor to either a performance, or if somehow possible the Rivian motor for better efficiency? And 3rd to enable the bloody ambient lights I bought and installed. Lol...

By work, bolt on? Or would I need to use spacers/etc?

Hey guys, I see a set of staggered 19 inch rims for sale. The rear tires are 285/40r19. Any idea if they will work with my S? Looking at the website I see the listing Says those tires are only for 2021+. Any insights?

I added the ambient lights to my 2014 but I haven’t been able to enable them, I had a ticket open with tesla since October and yesterday they told me that they won’t enable the lights for me.

I did the retro fit install and Tesla so far has refused to enable the feature for me. I keep trying to find a way to enable it.
