MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

I got the EU M3 Performance to do a new set of notes. This time at 95 %. first picture is of my request, the second is his reply. He notes that he has pictures. He has 2021-refresh for sure, since he noted he has new headlights (that some of us don’t have) and a VIN-range of 827xxx.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

I found a European with a 2021 Performance on Reddit. I tried to coach him as well as you have with some of us, but he didn’t follow my guidelines as well as I would have liked. But here is his results with 54 % SoC

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

The closest I got was 99 %. Here are my results: LR 2021 EU with 18" VIN 818xxx, Update 2020.44.25 E5D - old headlights Parked outside, Temp. 7°C; Mileage = 1.000 km WLTP 580 km - 148 Wh/km Rated on car @ 99% = 527 km (328 mi) In other words pretty much the same as OP/EV Promotor.

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Wouldn’t it be odd if Fremont-made European AWD M3’s would get “special” batteries that Fremont-made US-market would not? If Fremont sources batteries from different companies, wouldn’t it be more plausible that they put them in whatever car they are making at that particular moment, for...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Seeing as you said that prior yearly versions had as much as 79 kWh, doesn’t my 75 seem kind of low then? It will be interesting indeed to see others compare. Have you ever had a chance to do or see this on another 2021-refresh other than mine (so far)? What is the highest 2020-version you’ve seen?

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

Alan, can you confirm that it’s these numbers you need at 100 %? Because I’m not redoing anything after I’ve hit 100 %. Straight to the motorway afterwards :-)

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

I just searched through aforementioned registry. Some M3 LR 2021-versions are listed as variant E3D. The battery capacity for those are also listed as 85,8. There is however a listed weight difference. E3D is 1955 kg, while the E5D is listed at 1968 kg. The significance of this is lost on me at...

    2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

I realised I didn’t list my model as soon as I posted. Apologies. It is, as you suspect, not a P, but rather a LR. I will post my energy consumption screen the next time I drive it. Just the EC-screen, or do I need to press anything in particular?

    E3D & E5D for Model 3 LR 2021 - Battery mess

For what it’s worth, here is a screen dump of the danish motor authority’s listed specifications for my Model 3, that I received last week. It lists battery capacity at 85,8 which must surely be some sort of error. Other Danish LR M3’s have the same listing. My “variant” is listed as E5D on a...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

You‘ve got some balls, I’ll give you that. You’ve seen mods ask you to stop going off-topic. You’ve seen Mr Miserable ask you to stop, but you don’t really seem to care that much. You seem to think that your repeated cluttering of this thread is alright, as long you preface your posts with...

    2020 Shipping Movements

I noticed around half a page was moved (or removed altogether). The posts was a continuation of irrelevant discussion about VINs, order dates and model configurations. In my opinion the mods should follow up the removal of such posts with a written emphasis on avoiding irrelevant discussion...
