To Do List After Delivery:
Full PPF wrap
Destroy the factory rubber on the twisties here in northern California before upgrading to a smaller (square) wheel setup
Tint job
I'm curious what other upgrades people are planning for their performance models?
I think their delivery targets shift during the quarter. Makes some sense to ship new vehicles to the furthest destinations beginning of the quarter to allow room for transit issues and make up for travel time to delivery location. California is likely last priority since at the end of a quarter...
Bay Area , MYP, Black/Black, no Tow Hitch, Autopilot, ordered 9/24 and nada. My SA did call me last week and said car won't be built till end of November? Makes me think they prioritize east coast orders before local orders in California.
The majority of them I inquired about in California are below 40000
Likely because no one wants an early model after hearing about all the fit and finish issues.
Oddly this will fare well for those who hold on as the local offerings will be more plentiful, especially if you reject your first vehicle for a service issue.
Tesla is not great at outside communication (dissolved it's PR department) and their internal communication is limited to need to know only. I think some SAs have better relationships with the manufacturing side than others. That being said my SA told me recently that MYP production should begin...
There seems to be a pause in production for the performance models. Really wish Tesla would tell us what's up. I placed an order on 9/26 and haven't heard a word from anyone about a possible delivery date here in California.
