Official Foundation Series Dual Motor Waiting room

Got mine yesterday- first one at the Albuquerque location to be delivered. Was not smooth- New Mexico sales tax was not added. It took about an hour and a half to get it sorted out. I was first to be checked in, but the other 5 people behind me also had to wait. Gaps were acceptable, the inside...

    What's the deal with payment?

They wanted you to let them know you had a trade in when you gave them the $1000 on you order. So far, trade in value looks pathetically low= $17,000 to $22,000 for a FSD 2018 model 3 with 23,000 miles..

    What's the deal with payment?

I was notified that my VIN was issued last Wednesday and they needed the Cybertruck to have proof of insurance before moving ahead. Got that and entered it- Tesla accepted it. Then I went to payment and there was no option to pay anyway other than using the Plaid service. I had to move money...

Official Foundation Series Dual Motor Waiting room

Reserved first day, invited and ordered Dec.18th with delivery est of Feb-March. Rn 11275…and nothin yet-back burnered just like with my model 3. Evident that lots more than 1000 Foundation series are being made with a run rate of 200-300 units a day.

Cybertruck "Foundation series" is a fantastic exercise in economics! ... and PROFITable

The upgraded tire and wheels are missing, and the Tesla gateway costs $1800! The Foundation cost seems to be near break even, IF Tesla had only included the vehicle upgrades as standard in the price to allow eligibility for the $7500 tax benefit!

    No crumple zone?

Looking at the front and rear gigacastings on the Sandy Monroe video with the 5 top Tesla engineers, you can see they have waves cast in to the front and rear mounting horns that are clearly progressive resistance crumple zones. In the event of a crash- the casting will need to be replaced. May...

Cybertruck announce prices may actually happen

The Gigapress is getting put together quicker than expected, waiting to see prototype stainless body parts in the recycle bins. Still wondering about some design issues. The right side blind spot looks huge- so wide-angle camera views are a must. The steep angle of the windshield may be a...

Question for those with a Tri-Motor order

I am also a first day trimotor order. It’s disappointing that Tesla doesn’t put out an update that the tri will even exist. I agree That range is very important to me, and considering the size-the all-wheel steering is important! So, if you have to order the quad to get the 4-wheel steering….so...

Question for those with a Tri-Motor order

I ordered the tri-motor during the unveiling…so first day. I think Tesla should notify me of my reservation options immediately-it’s just the right thing to do. I envisioned the Cybertruck to be a quad-motor design when it was first teased, so, yes-a quad motor forme….

    Who has ordered?

Ordered the tri-motor first day- this website estimates it will be about the 4,600th one made. I would be happy to solidify my order and give Tesla $1000 to lock the order in.....Maybe that is too low?
