This is basically Westheimer and Highway 6 for those wondering and lazy.

Went there this weekend. The parking spots are super cramped with both narrow spaces and big cement columns to deal with. Add on the $8 minimum charge and it’s not an ideal situation all around. I was able to go to Home Slice while charging so there’s that at least.

Any update? Driving in from Houston Friday night for the game against Alabama. Would greatly prefer not to stop at the crappy charger in Columbus.

I don’t know when the last time you renewed or changed plans, but electricity is certainly not cheap now. This largely due to natural gas prices being 3x higher than the recent past.

App is showing that it is back on line.

The supercharger is working on all stalls and it’s already on the map. I’m charging now.

The existing HEB SC has only been open since March. It was v3 from the beginning.

HEB is a frequent supercharger host, but this location is really tight for space.

Should be any day now. I drove by yesterday. All work is done and the temporary fence is gone.

I agree that they probably will open those up, but I was told that they are also installing additional superchargers at the Galleria.

Yes, many superchargers are listed for years before they are finally built. That doesn’t change the fact that permit for the location on West Alabama is for the Galleria and the permit for the location further down Westheimer at Gessner is for the new Westchase Service Center. I actually spoke...

No, there is going to be a new set of public superchargers at the Galleria (hence the address on West Alabama). These have been listed as coming soon for close to a year on Tesla's supercharger map. The new Westchase Service Center is at 9633 Westheimer. Discussion here: Supercharger - Houston...

Thanks again for the response. I will be driving from south of Marfa to Terlingua between Christmas and New Years Day in a LR MY. I don't have enough data on comparable rated miles per charge at this time given that it's only been in the last few weeks that I've been able to drive without...

You're probably right. I've had my Y only for a few months, and haven't driven much since I'm mostly working from home. And when I do drive, I'm mostly in Houston where it is flat as a pancake except for freeway overpasses.

What was your state of charge on the trip from Cibolo Creek Ranch to Lajitas and back? I will be making that same trip next month and trying to decide whether I need to charge at one of the RV parks for a few hours.
