fyi, I was able to confirm with Tesla today that they do install on standing seam metal roofs. Good news for my installation in the Tahoe area. He also said they will be able to use the new Tesla inverter, which carries a 12.5 year warranty.

Thanks for your question and comments. It's a 7:12 roof (7" drop over 12" horizontal), thus ~30% pitch. And, yes, it's a 2-story building, so we have significant room for snow buildup; whereby that causes a challenge for the walkways.

I went with 245/50/19 Hakka R3s on the 19x9.5" wheels. I was going to get the 8.5", but the company was sold out. Had to special order the tires, too - there weren't a lot of choices in pure snow tires available in sizes that fit the 18" or 19" diameter wheels.

I purchased from... aftermarketev.com/ ...based out of Florida as a US reseller for Replika, which to my understanding is based in Canada. Either they or Replika botched the shipment (archived it instead of actually shipping it), but they claim they are making it right - shipping 19x9.5"...

Replika's for sure. They show up as more fluid and fast IMO.

Mine are on order as a snow tire setup with Hakka R3 SUV tire. They should be done in about 10-12 days; I can post pictures then, if you're interested still.
