Collision with a Deer on motorway. HELP

A similar thing happened to me early this year, a deer ran out in front of me on the A9 north of Perth, I was going at 55 miles per hour and managed to brake a fair bit so the damage wasn't too bad and the car was still drivable. My insurer is Churchill, it took a few months to get the car...

    MYLR wheel/tyre rotation advice

Glasgow is relatively warm by Scottish standards, I live in rural Perthshire, I use all seasons in the winter and summer tyres in the summer. I travel all over Scotland, 38k miles in the last year, and this works very well for me.

Not sure I'm enjoying my MY after 8 months

So anybody who doesn't agree with you is blinkered or delusional. Teslas are not perfect, no cars are, and there are issues with how some things are done but after more than 35k miles in 11 months, I am extremely happy with my Model Y, as for previous cars, I have had loads of different cars...

Not sure I'm enjoying my MY after 8 months

I also had problems on the German Autobahns where they had laid new tarmac and not painted in the white lines between the lanes but I did not have any other serious issues and I just kept an eye out for the dodgy bits, overall my Autopilot experience has been pretty good.

Not sure I'm enjoying my MY after 8 months

I have done just over 35k miles in my model Y in 11 months, including a Trip to northern Italy and back and I love it. Yes the auto wipers are rubbish and some of the safety features can be annoying but I have learned to adjust to it and predict what it will do. The car has been totally...

Not sure I'm enjoying my MY after 8 months

You can change that in the settings, it must be set to go to the speed limit rather than what you choose.

Europe Trip Planner - Gathering your thoughts on essentials

It all went very smoothly, we only used Tesla Superchargers and had no issues of any sort. We had a great trip and Northern Italy was stunning. This is us charging in the Brenna Pass.

Is it me, or is the Model Y really ugly?

No :), the Multipla preceded the Maserati by several years but it was a brilliantly designed car and I was a huge fan of it despite its looks.

Is it me, or is the Model Y really ugly?

The cars I had before the Model Y are: But I also had this a few years ago, so I do have a fairly varied taste in cars.

Is it me, or is the Model Y really ugly?

I think that they look good from some angles and the looks have grown on me over time.

Europe Trip Planner - Gathering your thoughts on essentials

We are driving from Perth to Northern Italy and back via Holland, Germany and Austria in early July and the information on this thread has been very useful. Thanks👍

Have you lost faith in Tesla?

They are experts who have been extremely critical of Tesla at times but if you wish to remain ignorant that is your choice.

Have you lost faith in Tesla?

Munro and associates are not some random bloke, they have a very successful business based on their expertise in car manufacturing, maybe you should try watching some of their videos.

    MYLR all season tyres

Much better than the Michelins, I am still very happy with mine after approximately 6k miles.
  15. W

Snow with the Model Y RWD

I used to fit winter tyres but modern all season tyres are usually better in our climate because although the usually have slightly less grip in the snow they are better in the wet and we do far more driving in the wet than the snow. I have Pirelli Scorpion All Season SF2 Elect on my model Y...

    MYLR all season tyres

Thanks, it is a good combination, I was planning to get Uber turbine style wheel covers but I changed my mind once I removed the Gemini covers and I am very happy with the silver wheels.

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

Thanks, it was very good, the only thing I found is that it is not as throttle adjustable as previous cars I have which makes it harder to control if it starts to slide, it was tending to do what the traction control wanted rather than what I wanted but this was only an issue a couple of times.

Q3 collections, new owners tales and experiences

I have had mine for almost 3 months and 7500 miles, I am delighted with it and have absolutely no regrets, I took this yesterday while out for a long drive in the snow.

    MYLR all season tyres

I did a long drive yesterday on country roads up to St Fillans in Perthshire, the snow depth varied between about 3 and 8 inches and it was sub zero the whole time. The Pirellis did pretty well, not as good as a full winter but far better than the summer tyres and I had no issues getting where...

We have the Goodyears on our Zoe, they are good but I am not sure that they come in the correct load rating.

    MYLR all season tyres

I got mine through Black Circles, it is -10 here this morning and it will be interesting to see how they cope. My experience over the last few days is that the car seems to more grip at -8 than the Hankooks did at +8, the front end grip in particular is massively better, the ride seems to be...

    MYLR all season tyres

I had a set of these fitted on Friday, I am very impressed with them, I have only driven in a small amount of snow but I did a long trip today through Highland Perthshire at around -8 degrees and I was astonished at how much grip they have on cold, wet muddy roads. I have had Cross Climates...

Whats the name of your Tesla?

Mine is called skippy, after the obnoxious A.I. in the Craig Alanson Expeditionary Force book series, not the kangaroo.

    Model Y UK Delivery

It was a very enjoyable day and the car is great. I am very happy that I chose the red with white interior because I think it looks brilliant and the car seems to be perfect with no issues at all.😊

I had a similar thing, I was due to collect on Tuesday but that has now moved to Wednesday, presumably they are trying to shuffle people back to make space for the Monday people.

    New Energy Price Guarantee

I spent 27 years working in the oil and gas industry and this is nonsense. The oil and gas prices are controlled by the markets and OPEC increasing or limiting the supply relative to demand. Around 8 years ago the oil price dropped to a level whare many oil/gas wells couldn't be produced...

    Model Y UK Delivery

I have a 415 VIN and am due to collect the car in Glasgow on the 20th, this is the earliest date I was offered and I am not sure why it is so long after the car arrives in the UK.

    Model Y UK Delivery

I just got a text from Tesla, I am collecting my Model Y from Tesla Glasgow at 12:00 on the 20th of September. I am super excited, I was starting to think that I would never get it.😀

    Model Y UK Delivery

I have had a text saying prepare for delivery, a hidden VIN and an EDD of 12th to 26 of September in Glasgow so maybe our cars are being delivered at the same time? My VIN has NC415 if that means anything?
  31. W

    Model Y UK Delivery

I only just checked because I got a text this morning saying that it would be delivered soon.

Not me, 4.5 year old Renault Zoe with 117k miles on the clock, it is sitting in a Renault dealer waiting for parts to fix the charging system (£3200.00 cost to us), they have no idea when they will get the bits so they have given me a newer Zoe as a loan car. I am very much looking forward to...

The EDD for my March order red/white/Gemini model Y has changed to 1st to 13th of September but I still do not have a VIN🙁

Charge place scotland since takeover - all fine?

I have charged up at CPS chargers more than 1500 times over the last 4.5 years/115k miles and the reliability of the system has got substantially worse since the change of ownership but this may be partly due to a lot of the chargers getting old and far more people using them.

Today I drove an ICE !

My Wife has a diesel automatic and the only thing I like about it is that it is faster than my Zoe. Once we get the model Y, my wife will have the Zoe, her car will go and I won't miss it. Having said that, I would like a fun petrol car for the weekend.
  39. W

2 EV Household - what else you got?

I will be soon, I have a 40Kwh Zoe that has done 114,000 miles that will go to my Wife when the Model Y I have on order eventually arrives. We will then sell her Diesel automatic and be EV only.

I got the same text and have the same worries, is it possible to fit a towbar after delivery?

  44. W

What made you choose a Tesla?

I drive around 30k miles per year and after 110,000 miles in a Zoe I wanted something better with more space, performance, range, charging speed and charger availability so I have a model Y on order.
  45. W

    Model Y UK Delivery

I have a MY LR red/white/ Gemini on order, my ED has gone from June to August/September to July, I ordered in March and was offered a car matching my spec the following week but I was not ready for it so I had to say no which was a shame. I am hoping to get an updated car with the parcel shelf...

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

Than you for this, I had a quick look but I will sit down and watch the entire video. The coldest I have seen is -19C but it is very unusual to get even close to that, -6 is a more common minimum temperature in the winter and even that is rare. It does seem that the long range is the better option.

Model 3 SR+ LFP Battery Range, Degradation, etc Discussion

Lots of interesting information on this thread. :) I live in Scotland which can get a bit cold in winter, I do around 30,000 miles per year and I am about to order a model 3. I would like a long range because of the range, performance, four wheel drive, premium interior etc but I am starting to...
