Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Tesla's mission is to get all the other car manufacturers to start making BEVs as well as Tesla. Are you under the impression they want to have a monopoly on BEVs?

The sky is falling!!! Tom Zhu just sold $120,000 worth of Tesla stock. Not 120,000 shares... $120,000-worth. He's buying himself a Cyberbeast? https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1318605/000197292824000001/xslF345X05/edgardoc.xml

He evidently had no plans to get a Cybertruck and certainly did not have a reservation placed within the first week in 2019 - which is what corresponds to the Cybertrucks getting delivered now. I am happy that my reservation is like #1,300,000 because I want bugs to be worked out and whatever...

(ordinarily I don't feed the bears) Totally agree that buyers of a $25,000 car aren't going to be turning it into a $37,000 car by adding that option. Autonomy is $199/month. At the moment. Who says it will stay at that price? Might come down Plus... people who can hire someone else's...

TSLA has been bouncing off the $177 region for a while. But... the highs and lows are trending down since last July. I wonder if $177 is a floor, or just a boundary it wants to push through

Erm, that looks like a Model 3 with a Plaid sticker that anyone can apply. Why are we certain Tesla is going to use its Plaid branding on its least expensive Model? They have Insane and Ludicrous before they have to go Plaid. (Not to mention "Performance" and anything else they can think up)

The rust rumour is absolutely ridiculous. Are there rusty Starships standing in the Rocket Garden? (Russell Brand excepted) Are there rusty DeLoreans driving around? Who has seen any rust on a DeLorean? Has anyone made a video about rust on a 40yr-old DeLorean stainless steel body? The rust...

There are/were some leaked internal documents referring to a version of the Model Y called "Juniper." The media doesn't know what it is but is happy to report what they think it is, especially if their reports accidentally result in a lowering of demand for the current Model Y. News of new...

By "major turnaround in the stock this year" what do you mean, up or down? It has gone nowhere in the last year. Couldn't disagree more about waiting to invest. Now is exactly the time to deploy your available capital. The stock will be climbing once it is clear those cheaper cars are going...

One green day doesn't mean much, all it probably means is investors think it was oversold yesterday. TSLA is still more-or-less at the same level it fell to following the reaction to the Earnings Report. Is it going to climb back from here? Or continue falling? (which would mean the last 7...

I have been driving a P85 around for over 10yrs that did not have the "Sound Studio" upgrade, as it was known in 2013 - because I have such a great sound system at home that the car could never approach it even with the optional upgrade (and I was right)

👍 The whole game of "missing wall street estimates" - since when was it wrong to reveal the truth about a company's financial situation, and to reveal that the guesstimates were all wrong? Who says the CT ramp is "super slow" ? Do you have data on that? "Super-slow" compared to what? It's my understanding that Ford F-150 Lightning production, after 1.5yrs work by "big boy" Ford, is less than what the Cybertruck is right now.

I first bought TSLA in 2013 at (split-adjusted) $2.53. It zoomed up to $12.93 before three fires happened on the same weekend - nothing to do with Tesla design or engineering, or BEVs in general. Just a coincidence. The stock fell to $7.73. Then it climbed to about $16.93 at which point Phil...
