Picked up my Y on 12/31 at the factory and every Y I saw had black shmutz all over the headliner. You would think this would be a thing they could avoid by now.

This isn't correct. Tesla doesn't build to order but rather matches what's being produced to customer orders. I picked up a Y at Fremont on 12/31 and it was built on 12/30. I was matched to the VIN on the 12/29.

I picked up a Y on 12/31 at the Fremont factory that was built on 12/30. I looked at maybe 50 Y's that were in the lot and NONE of them had the new headlights. All the 3's had the new headlights though.

Is the line of the PPF pretty noticeable? I have a white car with partial hood and the line is very noticeable.

Just picked up a Y at the Fremont factory tonight. From the cars I saw waiting for pickup, all the Y's still had the old headlights and all the 3's had the new ones.

I got a new VIN and then they assigned a delivery date in the past. I now still have the new VIN but now no delivery location or date. My vin is 100xxx now as well.
