Need replacement tires Continental, Michelin, Hankook for Model 3 long range

Yup when I first put the DWS06+ on I was around 260wh/mi but they were also new.

Need replacement tires Continental, Michelin, Hankook for Model 3 long range

Here is my consumption on my first rotation with them. 6,000mi+ in and I can say i'm still happy with them. I drive maybe like 60%~ freeway and 40% city/suburbs, but Houston has been really hot lately which has been inching up my average consumption due to the A/C use. My Michelin's prior to...

Need replacement tires Continental, Michelin, Hankook for Model 3 long range

No. It's the mileage warranty. The A/S 4s are rated for 45k miles and you can get a prorated rebate for the mileage difference.

Need replacement tires Continental, Michelin, Hankook for Model 3 long range

You're correct. the OEM michelin's discount tire wont credit/warranty back to you. You might be able to get something by contacting Michelin themselves directly. I had the Pilot Sport A/S 4 prior to getting the DWS06+ and the michelins had a 45k warranty.

Need replacement tires Continental, Michelin, Hankook for Model 3 long range

Discount tire thankfully rebated me a good amount of money towards the new set of tires because of that warranty

Need replacement tires Continental, Michelin, Hankook for Model 3 long range

I just switched from the Pilot Sport All Season 4 to the Continental DWS 06 Plus, and the contis are WAY quieter and ride so much smoother than the Michelins. Hopefully they'll last longer too, the Michelins only lasted me about 28k~ miles despite regularly rotating them.

What did you sell/trade for your 3?

Mk7.5 VW GTI with the DSG. It was a superb car, and absolutely loved it. I really only traded because ive been wanting to go electric for a while. Definitely been considering a Golf R with the 6 speed for a weekend toy now.

    Front End Clunk

Hi y'all! For a while now I've noticed when I go over bumps or dips in the road I'd hear this loud front end clunk from the left side. I'm not sure what the culprit could be, I thought it was suspension related but it doesn't do this clunk over every bump (in the video it doesn't do it over...

Has Tesla Build quality improved on new Model 3s in 2022?

Are you saying those are normal? Because my original statement was that excessive pools of water building up in a tail light is not normal, regardless of brand.
  26. jrmt23

Has Tesla Build quality improved on new Model 3s in 2022?

yeah and the replacement mobile service did is doing the same thing...not going to keep bothering with it :|
  27. jrmt23

Has Tesla Build quality improved on new Model 3s in 2022?

I know some condensation is normal, but excessive pools of water in my tail light is not. None of my previous cars ever pooled water like my Tesla did.

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

EPA rates the LR Model 3 as 250wh/mi right? That would be insane if these covers help that much lol...but I also did switch out to stickier Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s about 7 or 8 months ago. I'm not sure I'd personally see that much improvement
  29. jrmt23

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

I did a quick 15mi trip on the freeway at 75mph in my car and the uberturbine replicas have similar efficiency to the OEM aero covers it seems. I was around 236wh/mi @ 75mph with them. Autopilot on, and A/C set at 72 with re-circulation vent closed.

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

I did, and I'm very happy with how they look on my car! They cover the whole lip of the wheel too...covering up a little oopsie I made a couple months ago :P

Has Tesla Build quality improved on new Model 3s in 2022?

The QC issues I had with my car on delivery were the passenger side black mirror trim was sticking out, the rear door handles are more sunken in than the front, and the interior door seals being wrinkled. I've also replaced my driver side tail light already from excess condensation building up...

    Better Tires than stock Hankook

I'm very happy with the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4. Sounds similar to the OEM Michelin Primacy mxm4, but with waaaayy better grip. Only downside was loosing a bit of range, but not enough to really make a significant difference. If you have a costco membership, Michelins' regularly go...

Is 500-1300wh/mi normal in Vegas heat?

Its the same for me in Houston. 100F+ days with high humidity and the re-circulation off I see 450wh/mi+ in the city easily with the a/c at 70-72. Once i get moving on the freeway it does start to settle down in the low 300s. If I close the recirculation, it hovers around 300wh/mi.

Any other VW GTI or Golf R converts?

I do love the Mk 8 GTI, and the GTI will always be special to me as thats what got me into VWs and the hot hatch segment...but if I were to do it now (after the Model 3) I'd likely spring for the Golf R this time around. I've been spoiled with the great AWD system in the Model 3 and the tire...

200 miles review: Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4

No complaints with them here. I just did a 2,000mi+ road trip on them and had no issues with range. Noise sounds the same or similar to the OEM foam filled tires. The grip on them is insanely good in both the dry and wet.

Low cost way to monitor your 12V Battery

Low cost way to monitor your 12V Battery

I have my radar detector to show me the 12v reading coming out of the outlet in the center console...i have my doubts of it's accuracy of the actual battery status since i regularly see it below 12v, and rarely do I ever see it hitting over 13v like my VW would when it was coasting and the...

I wanted the DWS06+ because on tire rack's testing they actually slightly out performed the Pilot Sport All Season 4, and the DWS06+ is a couple lbs lighter than the Pilot Sport All Season 4. Unfortunately discount tire didn't have any in stock here but they did have the Michelins. I had the...

Here is some data from my car, I've got the Pilot Sport All Season 4. I reset one of the trip meters when I put the new tires on so i can track consumption and mileage for the next tire rotation. My lifetime efficiency used to be around 256-258wh/mi but it's been slowly creeping up. I've also...

Tires seem to require very frequent air addition?

Check your local costco. They might have a nitrogen fill station there. I've found that using that has yielded more stable tire pressure than just standard compressed air.
