    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

The video I Googled suggests someone drives it to the delivery address. So it's "contactless," I suppose... except for all of the air in the cabin. Good thing we aren't in the late stages of an airborne pandemic, because that would make the "contactless" bit seem a bit silly. But, hey, not...

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

The direct delivery is wild. It sounds like they're going to drop it off in front of our house like an eBay package and send me an email as they drive away. "Your vehicle is projected to be ready for drop off on March 18th! Please provide instructions on where you would like your vehicle...

Just got a VIN! Ordered 1/1 MSM/White Bay Area CA. EDD 3/15-18.

Bay Area, ordered 1/1 no VIN yet. Hopefully today or tomorrow.

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

This thread mostly agrees that waiting 30 days is standard: 90 days before PPF? I'm back to "8-12" weeks as of this morning. It's apparent that whatever estimate the Tesla account page is spitting out on any given day of the week isn't any more accurate than shaking a magic 8-ball, consulting...

Sweet! That's really exciting. Thanks for posting the pictures!

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Eh, I don't know about that. I'm CA. For the last few days I had a serially narrowing delivery range, which yesterday stood at March 5-16. This morning I'm back to "8-12 weeks." I liked "March 5-16" a lot more.

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Also same, which makes me suspicious. I'm in the Bay Area, so you'd think I'd be last in line, and my SA gave me an approximate gate date of 3/18 before the disruption at Fremont. I'd love the estimate to be accurate, but... Ordered 1/1 MSM/White

    2021 M3P preforms worse than LR and a 2019 M3P

Has there been any confirmation of the poor 2021 3P performance at suub-70 SOC? I've seen the Bjorn video where he's driving around in the cold, but nothing else. It seems like if this were a real, repeatable phenomenon other people would have caught on and posted results -- especially given...

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

Ordered 1/1/21, MSM/White, SF Bay Area. Chatted briefly with my SA this afternoon. Great guy. He gave me an estimated / subject to change / all caveats included approximate build date of March 18, smack in the middle of the "8-12 week from date of order" window displayed on the My Account...

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

I'm SF Bay Area, ordered MSM/White January 1. My date is still up, remains "8-12 weeks from date of order." Other than switching from "February 26 - March 26" last week (same difference....), it hasn't changed at all.

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

My (facile) understanding is that deliveries generally roll out east to west, and it's the folks on the east coast who are currently receiving VINs. There's a spreadsheet linked above in this thread that tracks order dates, trim, and when people received VINs. It's a great resource. Check it...

I received the wall charger less than 48 hours after ordering.

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

I'm also in CA, have also submitted insurance, have also received the same email -- and was also excited to get it. My window is 2/26-3/25. I hope we're both in receipt in February, but given that we're in CA I suspect we're looking at mid to late March.

Tomorrow your delivery estimate will be 2/16-3/15. :-/

    Model 3 Performance Waiting Room

As of two years ago, the motor configuration was different between the LR and the P, according to Engineering Explained, which he claimed made the P more instantaneously responsive. It's been a while since I watched it, and I don't remember the details. And I don't know it's still true today...
