Pay when you pick up the car. They almost expect you to do that anyway. And when I got the text to schedule a date, my SC ended up setting up a tentative date that was 3 days earlier, then the guy in charge of delivery reached out and contacted me when it was prepped and ready to go saying...

Picked it up and my time in the waiting room has come to an end Well worth the wait I will say. The process of picking it up was bizarre to say the least but it was smooth.

Woke up this morning expecting my delivery window to go back to showing 4-6 weeks again. Instead it is showing a VIN. So glad its over. SoCal people its finally happening.

I found the chat to be extremely useful when I was learning about the car and charging and all that. But when I ask about my order it goes straight to "you have yet to have a vin assigned so no real information I can give."

One of my first emails from Tesla after paying the deposit was giving me a delivery window that went till April 3rd so I suppose it is well within possibilities for it to roll into the beginning of next month.

Tell me about it. Entries above and below mine on the spreadsheet report vins and I'm sitting here with nada. And funny to think how I was worried I was ordering too late (2/5) and the march slots were gonna be gone

Got dates back. 3/15-3/26. I dont know why it feels good to have dates when I still dont have a VIN. But it does.

Ordering from a legacy car manufacturer doesnt look like this tho. You get a build slot assigned to you, there is no "matching" cars to your order, they track the thing like its a UPS package. Things could get weird with rail yards but if you live relatively close to the factory its a pretty...

By the sound of the size of the press, unless there were some major changes to the model 3 I am not aware of (highly possible), this machine has nothing to do with M3 production.

Ordered Feb 6 and no VIN Just est delivery date 10th-30th. I did email my local Tesla location to try and get some info.

I dont think there is a procedure in place to scrub non-responses. Makes it difficult to filter out delays from data "noise" but not sure how you could confidently scrub out necros either

02/05/21 Ordered it that evening after the test drive. The car sold itself. I told people it will have to blow my socks off on the test drive because I was ready to pull the trigger on another car. And it most certainly did.

I was just getting that feeling myself but looking at the posts and the spreadsheet I convinced myself of my own target date of around March 20th.....regardless of what it says on my Tesla account.

Does it ever. I didnt think it would get to me this bad. I had a choice between a traditional gasoline vehicle off a dealer's lot or the Tesla order. Didnt think waiting till March would be a big deal. Lol

Orders a Midnight/White LR at the beginning of Feb in SoCal and I still got nothing. Figured now its march I would at least get a date range, even if it was for a 3 week window. The rep I dealt with in Palm Springs said my profile looked good and not to worry, but I worry anyway...

Mine order delivery estimated updated this evening as well. Went from the generic 4-8 weeks after order date to March 10-30
