12v wire tap for Radar Detector

For the 2021 M3P, did you use more than the HT-1096? It seems like the way it is mounted on the wire is using some sort of cool little splitter, not the usual tedious method of exposing the wire gently, then twisting it around it etc.. Could you share a link? Is that an additional item?

12v wire tap for Radar Detector

Is it possible to configure shorter period of time? Is it that big of a deal to just mirror tap to the dome lights? If it shuts off, say, after 15 minutes..how awful is it? installation is much easier, isnt it?

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

So your choice for 55% is only to act as a buffer for unplanned trips during the week? Since you said you need about 30% for your daily commute. If you wouldn't want to handle unplanned commute, would charging to 35% and arriving home almost drained completely (hypothetically, 5% isn't that much...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Thanks for clarifying. Re charging habits - would you say that for a 20% needed on daily drive to work (my terrain, driving calm home-work needs about 20%), its best to charge to 60% and arrive back at evening with 40%, or due to the graphing you shared in other posts, its actually better to...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Thank you for all the insights. I also found one of your detailed posts regarding calendar aging. I get your point re 55%. Not sure If Im going to fully follow it, because circumstances for me are something changing throughout the day (leaving quite from from my work place, kids, work, stuff are...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Smaller cycles meaning, charging more often, like 20%->50%, or 50%->80%, instead of say, 20%->80%? Im really surprised that its better to be on the lower side of SoC, its always said to be very wary of going below 20%, or above 80%, and some material I read online over time suggested to prefer...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Thanks, I assumed its indeed 82.1kwh, hence my assumption of 8% instead of 6% degredeation. Should I stop avoiding 30-50% super charging once a week when Im right next to the supercharger? I visit that area once a week at least, and always skip it for the sake of keeping my battery happy. Re...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

On 80% charge I usually get an estimate of 382km, and with 100% it varies around 472-476km, where as original it stated 505-506km. I started using teslamate shortly after having the car (300km after) When you are asking if I know the range when it was new - I assume you mean the displayed range...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

How is it measured, using smt app? I have a 2021 m3p as well, with same 82.1kwh battery I don’t fee an apparent loss of range in my daily use, however the app shows nominal full pack of around 75.5kwh, meaning a loss of 8%, after 16000km. I only recently got the obd adapter so I don’t know what...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Another potentially surprised model 3 owner here. I have my m3 performance for about 9 months, driven around 15kkm. I used obd reader with scan my Tesla app, and I see 75.5kwh available out of the original 82.1kwh. Meaning that I’m at around 92% SoH. Is that anticipated? Chargers are almost...

    TeslaMate [megathread]

Im trying to figure out how teslamate properly calculates my consumption, specifically total kwh and consumption (wh/km) Im trying to follow the sql query for calculating "drives" for my car in grafana, it seems like it is mostly relying on EPA data, not actual data in the car, so I wonder how...

    TeslaMate [megathread]

Thanks! So given that Wh/km is inferred from data returned from the API, together with assumed usable capacity of the battery, what is the difference between net and gross consumption?

    TeslaMate [megathread]

I drove 100kilometers the other day. In the car screen, I view the "Since last charge" trip, and I see 141Wh/km. When I go to teslamate drive, I see the following: So there is a gap here of about 9Wh/km, which I'm not sure why it is. Im still a little bit new to teslamate, and I see the...

    TeslaMate [megathread]

Why there is a difference in the Wh/km I see in my recent trip in the car, compared to "Drives" table? Drives table in grafana usually shows a slightly higher numbers. Is it an estimation or real accurate dta?

    TeslaMate [megathread]

I tried to go over all this thread, and search, but forgive me if I missed anything since its complex over a 70 pages thread :) When I view the driving stats in the car, on the trip/odometer window, the Wh/km is net or gross consumption? When I view the energy graph in the car, does it refer to...

Mini Spare For Model 3, Hyundai Genesis 18" works

It seems like if not going onto an adventure, for the performance model its quite inevitable to buy the pricy modern spare. Can anyone share his experience with the 21' performance model?

    Colmo ceramic key ring

Can someone post a picture oh his hand with the smaller ring (6-7mm?) compared to his wedding ring? Im torn whether the size is not too bulky. I have skinny male fingers :)

    Colmo ceramic key ring

Im mostly concerned of its width and how fat it is. My wedding ring is somewhere around 4mm in width, but both colmo and cnick are 7mm, thats almost double. How disturbing it is in the hand? I sometimes go without my phone for sports, so it can be very nice if I can just use the ring instead of...

Model 3 Performance Waiting Room [2020-2023]

Tesla just arrived to my country 2 weeks ago. The current delivery is planned to June (I missed the first small batch for March-April) I had the chance to get the SR+, since the range would probably be enough for me I then started to drool at the LR being stronger, AWD, with boost option...
