Model 3 Xpel wrap in WA

Have had 3 Teslas (2 S, 1 3) fully-wrapped at Metropolitan Detail. Do great work.

    Swinging charging pole

Maybe covered in other replies - suggest wrapping pole & hardware in a protective foam so in the unlikely event the pole falls on your vehicle any damage would be superficial. My charging power is also on the wall opposite the charging port, so have had to lay cable on concrete floor, for the...

Vendor Group Buy for Model 3 All-Weather Floor Mats

Just ordered a front seat(s) set for our just delivered red Model 3. Mandatory here in the Pacific Northwest. So excited that I forgot to take the 20% discount. :-(

    Vendor Tesla Model 3 Protection

The vehicle John is referring to above is our red Model 3, which I dropped off at their shop on Monday and hope to pick up tomorrow, Friday. Metro Detail has applied a full wrap to both Model S vehicles I have owned. I don't believe I have an OCD personality ( :-) ), but I do appreciate how...

Tesla Model 3 First Drive Reviews

4.5 years ago, when I took delivery of my first Model S, I remember crying on the drive home, crying with the joy of being so fortunate as to own/drive such a fantastic vehicle. Had the same experience all over again this morning, driving home my partner's Model 3. What a beautiful car, what a...

GOP tax reform bill would end the $7500 EV tax credit (and other tax related grousing and grumbling)

If it hasn't been suggested earlier in this thread, email your federal senators and congresspersons, asking them to do what they can to remove this EV tax credit elimination from today's H.R. 1. It will take you 10 minutes max - something to do until your M3 arrives. :)

What type of car is Model 3 replacing for you?

2012 Prius, although the Prius will probably not leave the stable until its current driver ("soon" to be a M3 driver) has vanquished any remain shreds of range anxiety. Stable includes (2nd) Model S and 2000 Toyota Tundra (out: clean green & in: compost).

[Incorrect post] EV Tax credit mischaracterization

Over the past 48 months I have purchased two Tesla Model S vehicles. The two purchases were in two different calendar/tax years. On my tax returns for each year I was able to claim the full $7,500 tax credit - in other words, the federal taxes I owed/paid were reduced by $7,500, for each of...

Going to pass on AWD to get my Model 3 sooner, anyone else doing the same?

My first Tesla Model S 85 was RWD and, of course, it was a fantastic automobile. After 20 months of ownership I "upgraded" to a 85D AWD, mostly 'cause I wanted to experience AWD (my first AWD vehicle) and the enhanced AP capabilities. 24 months later still totally in love with this car. Hope to...

    Electrician in Seattle

Wayne Sandall at Active Engineering ([email protected]) installed my outlet, in 2013, for nearly $1,000. Conduit from the panel, with more than adequate power available, NEMA 14-50 outlet, with regular 110 outlet attached (Christmas lights!). Have since installed a 30-panel solar...

60D and P85 was just canceled (as was green, brown and black roofs)

I love my GREEN S85 and with the full Expel clear wrap the car looks stunning most of the time. Think if I move to the full-on P85D I'll go for the super RED color, black interior and darker wheels.

North Central Washington high amperage L2 Charging Project

Colfax? Jack, is Colfax on "the list" for a L2 charger?. I know Colfax is not considered part of the north region, but I travel there at least once a year for photography. I've talked with the folks at the BW Wheatland Inn in Colfax and they indicated the local CofC/tourism group was less than...

    SW Seattle Wrap/Tint

Another vote for Metro Detail in Bellevue. They wrapped my green S85 in October. Did a great job in 3 1/2 days. I didn't need a loaner, they gave me a ride to/from my home in Burien. Smart investment.

For those with small garages -- do you back in?

The Model S is a big car, seemed to suck up all the garage space the first time I parked inside. Old house, 91" garage door opening, leaving 2-3" of mirror clearance on each side. I drive in and back out, mostly out of habit. Plants very close to driveway on driver's side, so easier to see and...

Anybody else tired of being asked if .........

I have found that that question is usually an entre to talking about how cool the car is. The question is asked with a joking tone, knowing that the whole fire thing is a bogus issue.

    I ordered!!

Welcome to the Seattle-area Tesla owners cabal. What is your color choice, so we can look for you on the road? Have had my green S85 for nearly 3 months and every driving moment is heaven. No issues other than the (common) GPS spinning maps. I have black leather seats, but then I've always had...

    Know your Model S...

Had my Model S for two months and just today noticed the small shelf/cubby hole just below the screen . A mostly black interior and dark garage kept it obscured. Wonder what else I've missed . Completely off-topic, how does one "reboot" the car, or the screen? Curious if doing so...

    Firmware 5.8

I noticed the change in regen immediately after upgrading. I even pulled over to check the settings, to see if the update had changed them. I prefer the pre-update regeneration; the new regeneration just feels sloppy. Understand the lcy road issue, but we don't do much icy roads in the urban...

    My Last Tank of Gas

Um, don't try that clever maneuver with (either of) your Model S's  Otherwise, an amusing story, well-written. Only have had my Model S for five weeks, but yesterday's visit to a clogged-up Costco gas station, in my partner's Prius, was painful. He gleefully mentioned gas was down to...

    Where's bareyb?

I've had my Model S for four weeks now and every time I open the garage door, and see it sitting there quietly gleaming, I think, "oh man, I get to drive it again!". Just like a 5-year old kid!

    Random Model S sightings

There were two of us Green Model S's at the Centralia WA SC yesterday afternoon, with my vehicle 3 weeks old and the other nearly a year old. My succession of previous car colors has been gray, red, blue, champage, black, silver, etc - so Green was the next obvious choice. Love it!

    Wanted: Electrician recommendations for Sammamish

My DS recommended Neighborhood Electric for the 14-50 install and they are who I used. The house is 60 years old and the electrical panel was upgraded 10 years ago. Enough juice into the house as the kitchen range, HW heater, furnace and dryer were all converted to gas when the house was...

Full body wrap in Seattle area?

I had Metro Detail wrap my entire green Model S last week. They did a great job. I took delivery on Sunday, dropped it off Monday morning and picked it up Thursday noon. Yep, it is $8,000. But I didn't want any gee-I-wish-had-gotten-it-wrapped sleepless nights. With the wrap it should wash and...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Gary Rem Yes, a full wrap of the vehicle. Recommended by several owners. Took a close look at a Green MS and could not tell it had been wrapped. Owner demonstrated how you get a non-streaky shine by just wiping it off. Figured I'd be spending a bit more time keep the car looking top notch so...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Picked up my Model S this morning at Bellevue SC. My DS said they were delivering 6 today and 6 tomorrow. Had to rush home to watch the Seahawks beat (from a 17pt deficit) Houston. Per usual, it is raining in Seattle. The color is actually green. 85 | Pano | Air | Tech | Hi-Fi | Parking...
