The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

So what ive learned from this hopefully correctly, is that I can find a recent model year MSP for around $55k. “Perfect condition lemon” but I should look for 19” wheels and drive it to see if it vibrates, u see, under acceleration. Damn that’s tempting. What year is best? When did Tesla axe...

    Highland top speed reduced…

If I’m software limited in the near future; I’m selling it and getting a vintage (ICE) sports car that they can’t limit. Can they limit it lower than when you bought it? I mean, I bought it based on the performance specs at time of purchase.

    Highland top speed reduced…

At least it’s close 0-60. And I can camp in it. Try that in a supercar 🤪

    Highland top speed reduced…

How about on long wide straight country roads with good visibility and no traffic?

    Highland top speed reduced…

Please elaborate on Y suspension. I have a stock 2021 MYLR with the optional Turbine wheels and aside from a slightly harsh/loud ride I think the suspension if fine and on the sporty side. I have 40k miles on my car and drive it to its fullest potential. Have topped out at 137 many times without...

    Highland top speed reduced…

I went Tesla for performance and then clean exhaust and fuel savings. If it wasn’t a performance vehicle, I would have just got a cheaper ev or hybrid. Top speed and acceleration are fun. I’ve had my MY up to top speed 137 on many occasions on wide strait(ish) country roads. It gets there in...

Is the MY the best Tesla vehicle?

I have driven my MYLR top speed several times on wide-lane straitish country roads with good visibility here in Md. and in WV and on highways on long trips. It went 137 although it’s technically limited to 135. I kinda wish I’d got the P version, although I do appreciate the extra miles of...

    Looking for softer ride

Mine w 20” induction wheels/stock tires is only slightly harsh over some types of bumps. Not uncomfortable and way better than my Volvo V50 was.

    Model Y Suspension

I test drove one here in Maryland last March before purchasing. Generally I would never buy a car without a test drive. My MY suspension on 20” wheels is a bit harsh but not bad. I drive quite aggressively and quite enjoy the car. There is aftermarket suspension available.

Extreme phantom braking event tonight. No TACC or Autosteer

I did a road trip from DC to Chicago and return at night both ways in my 2021 MY in December. It never changed my headlight settings. I have noticed some roads and jurisdictions don’t allow for Cruise control or Autopilot to drive over a certain speed. Usually in towns and cities.

    4.8 to 4.2 acceleration upgrade

That’s weird. Today when I purchased it, in less than two minutes it was done. I didn’t even have WiFi at the time.
