Thanks for the explanation. I guess when the cameras were originally installed in my M3 (early 2019), the algorithm wasn't optimized (intentionally so) for providing direct driver input as the rear facing camera is. Thanks for pointing out the higher contrast between the curb and the street...

Here is a screen shot of the backward and rear facing cameras pieced together from the Tesla thumb drive. There must be an easier way to do this but you get the idea of how much darker the side cameras are. Thanks for any thoughts about this

I guess I have to take photo off of the Tesla's thumb drive rather than just taking photos of the screen. I'll give that a try.

Here are a couple of photos I took today of my backup camera and my side cameras. The side camera views are always darker and with sunglasses on it makes them very difficult to see. I cleaned all of the camera lenses before taking these photos.

Turn signal camera images on my M3 seem significantly darker than backup camera image which limits their usefulness. Is that normal?
