I’ve never had a problem with service, drove my 2015 Model S 143,000 miles and other than some minor issues that were quickly fixed, never had a problem .
I suppose major drivetrain issues might be a different story, but so far haven’t had to deal with that.
No you won’t. Once behind the wheel all memory of the pain and suffering is wiped away by the ear to ear grin the first time you punch the accelerator!
I’m pretty sure the price isn’t locked in. I cancelled my reservation several months ago. i didn’t see the reason to let them keep holding my money when the contract indicated pricing would be determined when production started.
That may be true that there is existing inventory, but doubtful it’s from the “initial batch”. That can easily be verified looking at the VINs. But since the MS line started delivering in June, Plaids have always had a short delivery estimate. And if there is existing inventory of Plaids...
Just noticed that while the timeline for MSLR delivery is now June 2022 for 21” wheels and October 2022 for 19” wheels, order a Plaid with either wheel config is December delivery.
That should end any question of supply chain issues for 19” wheels. It’s all a revenue grab.
The delivery experience would be shameful for a cheap Korean import let alone a $95k car. But they get away with it because the car is just so damn good.
It takes a while to get used to the regenerative braking. The acceleration takes one stab of the go pedal to be hooked for life. Once you...
Yeah, for you it’s the 19 inch wheels that held you up. I spoke to a SA at their Santa Monica location and asked why June delivery now for 21s and October for 19s. He’s probably just as knowledgeable as any (which is to say not very) but he confirmed it’s to drive additional revenue and move...
What’s your configuration? They are still playing games on the 19” wheels. Order today for 21s and it’s June delivery. Order 19s and it’s October. Hard to believe it’s still supply chain issues and not just a strong inducement to feather Tesla’s bottom line.
eBay for center caps. Just order one (it’s a set) and not four like I did.

Amazon for the dent puller you need to pull them off if you want to replace the aero covers
No one is really on this thread anymore, but for those of you they have taken delivery ot are awaiting a MS with the 19” wheels, I have to say these things are really looking a lot better than I expected.
I was going to add there was a snowball’s chance of it if it were the last days of September if you happen to ask the right person, but certainly not right now, which I presumed was the question.
It is worth the wait. My only issue is the wait would have been a lot more tolerable if there wasn’t six months of BS flowing from Tesla corporate about when to expect the car.
Different steering wheel. Who knows, it obviously wasn’t engineered to have one. The worm on my most recent is hardly noticeable unless you are looking at it and light is hitting it at just the right angle to make a faint shadow.
Probably lighting. The vein isn’t likely to go away. My 2015 MS has one and I didn‘t even realize it until I saw it mentioned here. Had to visit my neighbor who bought it to confirm. And he hadn‘t noticed it.
That hasn’t been my experience. What I have noticed is because the vents are hidden, when you turn on AC you need to check the vent positioning on the screen to make sure they are pointing where you want. Hot day and vents not on your face? Yep, that will make it seem slow to cool the car.
My car came with the same Pirelli P Zero summer tires. Doesn’t really make sense for CA cars to be delivered with All Seasons. I don’t know about “more torque” but summer tires are better for road holding/handling in summer conditions. All Seasons required in climates with snow/freezing...
My original appt time was 4:00pm and I asked if I could get it earlier and they moved it to 1:00pm. Then the day before they called to ask if I could get it at 5:00pm the day before the original appt. So as long as your car is prepped and ready to go you can probably get it earlier.
I’m sure had I asked to inspect the car before doing the online acceptance they’d have let me. Problem is, I spent 10 minutes behind a guy accepting delivery and while I waited a couple other people got in line behind me. I’m pretty sure had I insisted on inspecting the car it would have been...
This is just my personal experience, but when I picked my car up I had to go inside the ghost town of an office at Marina Del Rey and speak with the only employee there. Before I could even see the car I had to accept delivery online at the desk. My payment was made via ACH several days...
It meets every expectation. Far better than my 2015 P85D. Fit and finish was flawless. The only real nit is I didn’t get any help figuring out all the systems so I’m still a little behind the curve so it will only get better. Disappointed they removed automatic lane change on autopilot so...
File this one under “another Tesla employee that has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about”.
And that is going to be a very long book.
Sorry for the treatment you are getting. Hopefully when the car finally comes it will be a distant memory.
That is a beautiful looking spoiler. And I understand my old one was secured with double sided tape but considering that could be removed in a heartbeat and goodbye $1,100 I don’t know if it’s going to be something this victim of having cars stripped around LA is going to invest in.
I got summer Pirelli P Zeros in Los Angeles. It’s good to see they have the good sense to fit the cars for the region they are being delivered. At least anecdotally.
The one thing the delivery center did was set up my phone so I could control it thru the app. Damn good thing too, because after a couple of days I found out neither the fobs or card keys are paired to my car. I realized the fobs weren’t when I tried to open trunk and frunk. Card key took...
One more thing. My card keys don’t work either. I thought they did, but when I tried to get into the car with just them and not my phone, they couldn’t open it. Makes sense, because if I got the wrong fobs it’s likely the card keys wouldn’t be correct either.
Since I’ve only had my car a day I haven’t has a chance to figure it out, but do you know how to get superchargers to show up on the navigation screen? And more importantly, the usage level at each? My old MS had superchargers shown as a default as well as the number of stalls and how many...
I’ve only had her a day but will be taking notes with and without. Someone posted a trip around Houston with and without and found no difference. But I’ve got to believe they are effective otherwise why bother? Maybe to SEEM more aerodynamic? Doubtful.
It’s true in some cases you have to accept delivery before the car is delivered. I know some people have been able to inspect it before, but the Covid excuse gives them some leverage to require “touchless” delivery.
But just because you’ve accepted delivery doesn’t mean you have no recourse if...
