NEMA 6-50 outlet in my garage. Will this work with my corded mobile connector and 6-50 adaptor? What can I expect for amps?

My delivery appointment is scheduled for May 6, they will be dropping it off at my residence. Question: Do they have an employee drive it from the dealership (located about 10 miles away) to my house, or do they use a flatbed truck to transport and then dump it off?

Im having a dedicated line run into my garage. Electrician recommended the 6-50 over 14-50, as I was planning to upgrade to the Tesla Wall charger in the near future. Is there any reason for this?
