Well I feel like somethings wrong :( Still haven't gotten a VIN or any communication after being told my car was on the lot yesterday and just was waiting on final things before formally getting a VIN and delivery instructions...

This is a first. Never saw this account error screen before, usually get the blue Model 3 of death... Wonder if that means more VINs coming?

The infamous David I'm picking up in Highland Park, but I guess it makes it seem like were not alone in being told there are some final updates being applied. I was worried that my car ended up going to someone else when the VIN did not come shortly after my SA said it would.

Where are you picking up? I got a lot of mixed messages so far. SA told me to expect VIN and delivery instructions yesterday. Nothing ever came. Called SC again this morning, they said that my car is there on the lot but is just waiting on final inspection and I'll hear something "soon".

Think I slipped through the cracks or my car was given to someone else. My SA contacted me yesterday to say that I would have a VIN assigned yesterday and my car was ready. Never got a VIN or any automated texts/emails and it still says 5-9 weeks...

Not getting the warm and fuzzies...My SA texted me a couple hours ago (not an automated alert) that I would be getting a VIN and my car was on the lot. Assumingly when everyone else did. Never came...hope they didn't assume I was ready for pickup just because everyone else was. Still showing...

No VIN for me yet, but SA said my car is on the lot and I'll get VIN sometime today.

Fellow Illinoisian, which location did you call today? I called today, they looked me up and said no updates at this time.

Everyone got bored of waiting for VINs so we went to comparing RNs?

Another day of no assigned VINs and website issues. Surprise surprise. I called the SC and they said they can't do anything since their system is down...

Since it looks like it’s “stalk your delivery center Saturday” I stopped at the Highland Park location. Y’s a plenty! About 30 in front, more in the back

I called Schaumburg this afternoon and they said hold tight while the updates perform over the weekend. Hoping for an update early next week.

Anyone else see this and think of the ending scene from I Robot where the central server remotely commands all the robots to kill Will Smith?

So I called back the SC after being told to call back Fri PM. I was told that they are still just waiting on the software update, which they said would be done over the air this weekend. Anticipating VINs to be assigned early next week. Subject to change of course :)

One SC I called (Without giving them my info) told me to call back Friday (today) afternoon for an update. My SA told me to expect an update "early next week".

Yeah the SC also gave me an emphasis on Friday.

Schaumburg's been pretty good at providing updates. I'm taking delivery at Highland Park and they stopped being helpful this week when they claimed to know absolutely nothing. Called Schaumburg today and they said they would know more Friday as well.

You ordered a day after me and we have the same config. Different location though. I was told 5/20 a few times in the past and called in today to see if that would still be expected and they said “you don’t have a VIN. We can’t tell you anything”

Well this is annoying. I spoke to the SC last week and they told me that my car had been produced and was en route to the area by train and it should be around this week. They said that a VIN hadn’t been formally assigned yet but that would happen once it got to the lot. I called again just...

Pulling for team midwest here. I just called my SC and they said my car was produced and is currently on a train towards Chicago. Should expect it later next week. They cannot see the VIN at this time. Online says "5-9 weeks from order" now. Supports the theory that several cars have been...

Y'all are lucky you have a date. I've been stuck at 5-9 weeks for the last week. Same config as well, but at Highland Park.

I wonder if this software issue is affecting all the late March - early April people who have been stuck on 5 - 9 weeks. If it is actually a thing... At least 5 - 9 weeks is sooner than late June.

I'm just hoping that this doesn't mean that the cars that were originally produced for us didn't end up getting assigned to others...

There was another person here who was told the exact same story last Friday.

I keep seeing people posting in FB groups that they took delivery in the last week or so. Also drove by the service center and saw about 10 new Ys in the lot, plus a I saw a truckload on the highway last week. Maybe we’re just the unlucky ones?

Hmmm if that has any merit it would explain why my SA gave me an estimated delivery date around 5/21 despite online saying late June.

Last weekend my SA said my delivery would be around 5/21. Website now says 6/17-6/30... Don't know who to trust.

It's not the hitch...I didn't get that and your timeline is still ahead of mine.

Came out of the 5-9 week period to be pushed out 2 weeks further than what it was before...

For the first time since I ordered on 4/6, I got the "5 - 9 weeks from order placed date". Is that a good or bad thing?

Saw a truck today with a bunch of Y's (all white) on I-88 heading towards Chicago. Maybe the midwest folks here can expect one of those.

Andddd just got pushed back a month to June 10-30. Taking a break from here and from checking dates while I contemplate if this is the car for me.

Just went from May 15 - June 4 to May 20 to June 9 :( Time hasn't moved forward in awhile...

Really bouncing all over in the last day after a few days with no changes... Ordered April 6 Apr 16: May 8 - May 31 Apr 18: May 13 - Jun 2 Apr 22: May 8 - May 28 Apr 23: May 11 - May 31 Watch it be delivered when I'm out of town for a couple days...

I was told a similar timeline for delivery in Highland Park. But that was a couple weeks ago.

I'm mostly stressed about the value of my trade in changing over the next month. I got a good price from Carvana now, but it might go down a bit by mid-May.

Is there anywhere on their website that says 30 days now? All I can find is 7

Also in the May club for Chicago here as well. Ordered 4/6 and saw some crazy fluctuations in delivery date.
