Good to know. Did you walk into a service center? Did it cost anything?
Also do we have to pay duty/import tax? I’m seeing that we don’t for personal vehicles but still unsure. And is there provincial sales tax at registration?
“Add bank info manually” is what I remember, as well. Not sure why there’s another pop up now. Hopefully Tesla hasn’t taken that option away. May have to reach out to them.
Yup, it got too busy and things got too crazy. I remember going and it was really difficult to maneuver, too. Especially with other HEB customers trying to navigate in between. I’m pretty sure HEB also pushed for the exit.
But there’s a new one a few blocks east of there that just opened up.
I wish I had taken screenshots of it. When you choose the Plaid option, does it give you a popup which you can then cancel?
This is the only screenshot I have but it was afterward, notice the bank icon:
Yup, only one car wide right now. Thankfully not too much traffic, but it has been a little difficult to slow down for pics without annoying people behind me/waiting for me to pass.
Once the fence goes away, it’ll be 2 car wide again. Although, maneuvering to charge will slow down traffic in...
April ‘23 Austin-born LR here. Only issue I had was hatch alignment, service said “within spec”. I notice the same misalignment on other Ys now.
Besides that, I got a perfect build. 👍
I see, that makes sense, thank you.
There is something else I’m still confused on- OP said they set the limit at 50%, how come it didn’t come to near that in the morning?
Hmm, yes I’d agree with the others that 2% is normal, however you said you were plugged in… is that normal? I don’t think mine has ever dropped while charging..
So I did some digging and turns out this is indeed charging stations: Link
Even more interestingly, they’re noted to be inside the Ascent apartments parking garage at 801 Town & Country Ln: Link
The City analyst also calls out that these are two projects. Could it be a bunch of destination...

“In a US first, fossil fuel power plant workers will be retrained for offshore wind”
Glad to see more of this.
Very interesting. I wonder if it’s referral code-related? That was only S/X but maybe they’ve extended it to 3/Y now.

Either way, congrats and enjoy the trial!
I was driving by the other day and saw the huge Tesla sign. Glad to see more locations, as you said. I also noticed another building adjacent to it that was newly painted in the Tesla white and red scheme, with black satin framed doors/windows. Wonder if it’s also part of it.
Also glad to hear...
Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Btw is it the same Wi-Fi and password as when you wait in the SC during appointments? If not, how do you get the right Wi-Fi and password?
And by parked and reengaged home Wi-Fi, you mean when you came back home and parked, right? So nothing (visibly)...
Hey why does the oldest not get a Tesla?? 😆
But yes, as long as they know the value of things and are respectful, go for it. Safest cars ever. Bonus, they’ll feel really cool to drive one. Life is short. Enjoy it (responsibly).
Ah, that would make sense, thanks. Without COP, it gets up to 140+ F for me. I tried “No A/C” and it just seems like COP wasn’t turning on. No notification, no change in temp. I even tried first cooling it down to 120F then trying it, but still nothing. Only A/C will trigger it.
I don’t have issues triggering the A/C mode every 12 hours, but I’ve never seen the Fan only “No A/C” mode do anything ever. Have y’all seen it do anything?
Dang, I’m really hoping it will be within sight of the gas pumps, so they can all see how easy supercharging is, and they can easily come up to ask us any questions about switching.
Glad the city finally approved it, was taking pretty long. The new Heights location is already online (36 spots).

Does this mean we won’t have to go anywhere and can just pay online to renew our sticker annually? Since we didn’t have the emissions part anyway.
Agreed. No I actually skipped the Plaid option - there is a way to do that and only input bank account and routing number. The transaction immediately went through and I got access to the car. Money left my account a couple business days later.
Can’t wait for this location to be online. Not sure what’s the hold-up. In contrast, the new Heights location is coming along quickly.
I emailed the city about why we can’t download the permit pdf attachments, and their reply was to call them… wat.
This is their number if anyone wants to try...
Anyone notice pricing went up? Two central Houston locations got rid of multiple tiers in the daytime, made it one higher rate, and dropped the overnight pricing.
Finally visited this one the other day. The spaces are so tight, and I found it hard to back in with all the cross traffic in that entry lane to HEB (my apologies to the fellow owner I scared by inching too close with my Vision-only Y 😅).
And yes, super busy.
Yes, the loaner S did have a key fob. Would that make my app connect quicker?
And yes, iPhone. I have tried force closing but didn’t seem to help for me.
It’s curious that the exact same phone, network, and settings connected quicker to a six year old S than my one month old Y.
Having the same issue on my Y ever since I took delivery last month.
A funny thing I noticed - I had a loaner this week which had zero issues connecting. I would open my app and it would connect at most 2 seconds later, and most of the time instantaneous. It was a 2017 Model S (Nvidia chip aka...
