Have you had any luck getting the battery pack replaced? Do you know if you got a new or a refurbished one? How long did it take? My Model 3 Performance has been sitting at the service center for a month now, waiting for a new battery to be shipped from China.

You'll probably get an email from Tesla via eOriginal (eoriginal.net) with all the financial documents. I think it's 'best practice' not to sign the documents until delivery day.

I called Tesla (couldn't stop myself haha) and they said my car is scheduled to get delivered to Glasgow on Monday, the day before. So I guess they're getting the cars up here in several batches.

Strange, 22nd was the ealiest day I was given the option to collect from Glasgow. You get a text with a link to which gives you about 3 days to choose from, with a bunch of time slots for each. If you call them they can give you other dates as well.

Yes. If you view the page source of the order you might be able to find your VIN. I found mine last week. It's not in any document, email or text. You can just try to view the page source then search for LRW [the start of the VIN] or "vin"

That’s why I wouldn’t even bother with any accessories, just disconnecting the cable is enough. Given Tesla’s reputation for build quality issues I don’t think anyone would be surprised by yet another cable coming loose. And I would not recommend physically removing the speaker either.

I think we’re all expecting June deliveries so as a result I think that disconnecting the speaker after delivery should not cause any legal issues. I plan on disconnecting my speaker, it looks very easy and quick to do. I am not a lawyer so take this with a grain of salt.

The LR cars that were just delivered came with the Pedestrian Warning System, but not the full Boombox. Some people have said that under the UK law the Boombox is apparently illegal, so I suspect the P will be the same.

I asked for the CoC via the website chat and got it from DeliveryGB within half an hour. [For a previous order]

The chat experience is very inconsistent. I got the text that I was matched yesterday and this morning I asked for the VIN. They told me to wait for all infomation via SMS. How useless. I'll wait an hour and ask again, someone better be willing to tell me!

Yesterday I cancelled my LR order that was scheduled for delivery next week and placed an order for a Performance Model 3 instead. I got a text and call today that a car has been allocated to my order but I don’t have a VIN yet.

"82kwh M3 Battery (BT42)" on the right hand side should be the confirmation. I have no idea how trustworthy the option packs on the website can be though.

Interesting. Have you checked what battery the car will have or what the manufacturing date is? You can request the Certificate of Conformity which should have both pieces of information.

Feels like European cars drew a very short straw these last few quarters. I’m thinking about cancelling/delaying my order until the whole thing is more fair and I can get a car with the larger battery. Or might as well wait for a Performance model.

I’ve asked in the online chat and got it by email within half an hour. If you have a VIN assigned (should be in the invoice) then you can request it.

How can UK customers identify the battery their car has? Preferably before delivery? Unfortunately we don’t get a COC as far as I’m aware.
