Model 3 LR not currently available to order (USA) [posted 08.12.2022 --Its back! 05.02.2023]

I have a unique experience. I had a 2021 Model 3 LR, rated at 354miles (567KM) , it was the Panasonic battery pack. I drove that for 2 years, and my experience was that it was certainly not the rated range in the real world. I would drive on the highway for 200KM yet I would burn through 270KM...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

I had a 2021 M3 LR, but unfortunately got into a bad accident. Someone hit me and the car was deemed a total loss by insurance. So the insurance company paid me out. The amount they gave me was more than a brand new one so I bought a 2023 M3 LR inventory car. This time I got red. Im from...

Reuters: "Tesla readies revamped Model 3 with project 'Highland' -sources" [projected 3rd quarter 2023]

If Tesla does go the direction of no steering wheel, mandatory autopilot I am 100% out. I'll be buying another brand. I like to have control over my car. That's the whole fun part of driving, that connection to the road. The freedom to control the responses.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Absolutely! To be honest I was preparing for way more battery loss. I was told from a few people that during your first year or two you can lose 10-15% of range. Im at the same point I was when I bought it give or take. So Im impressed.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Was wondering if someone can explain this to me. I set my charge last night to 70% , woke up this morning and my car was at 400KM. I did the reverse math and it took my 100% charge to 571KM. But when I bought my car it was rated at 567KM. How can my battery give me more range 16 months and...

    22’ LR range - 1000km return trip…real world range.

Weird. Ive had my car over 15 months now, put 30,000KM on it. My 100% charge remains the same at 565-567km.

    22’ LR range - 1000km return trip…real world range.

I also live in Canada. I did a similar trip with my Model 3 LR last summer. Charged to 100% which was 567KM at the time, drove from Barrie, ON to Milton to pick up friends(120KM) then to Belleville (230KM). So a total of 350KM. I had 4 adults in my car with 4 luggages. I arrived with 100KM left...

Pic of your Model 3.......RIGHT NOW! [model 3 pictures thread]

Ive been noticing lots of Teslas up here in Canada in the last year especially. In my city alone (of about 150K people) there are a dozen white model 3s. To make mine stand out I've made a few changes: 1. Black out of front emblem 2. Black out of Dual Motor rear logo 3. Remove rear logo and...

Are winter tires necessary with the long range dual motor AWD?

I live in Canada, north of Toronto. We get our first snowfall in November each year, and the last snowfall usually in April. That's 5 months of potentially snowy conditions. Make the investment and buy the snow tires. It's 100% worth it and even though the Tesla is heavy and AWD... the tires...

Why choose Model 3 over Model Y if you can have more trunk space?

    I've driven the Y , its a great vehicle. But I bought the 3. Here's why: 1) Faster 2) Better connection/handling to the road 3) Looks sexier

Anyone purchase an ICE after your Model 3?

I love my Tesla! Still get butterflies when I get inside over a year later. No more ICE cars for me.

Same here!! Always wanted black but got talked out of it because it would be "too hard to keep clean" so I went with white. Im happy with white, but its becoming quite common. Black seems more rare. But when its clean there's nothing sexier. Just to keep it clean...

    Orbital Wheel Covers

I find with the black orbitals its super important to keep your tires black. The covers look a bit weird when the tire is a dull black/dirty. I keep a few bottles of blackening spray in my garage. Every week I wipe them down with rich glossy black spray. Looks so much sexier.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I charge mine 90% from home and 10% superchargers. Only charged it to 100% twice since I owned the car. A few times up to 90%. But the vast majority of times have been in the 20% to 80% range.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

I've had my car for almost 1 year now. I've put on 20,000KM (12,000 miles), and my max range went from 567km to 560km. Barely any degradation so far.

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Random question... does anybody have insight into how Tesla salespeople are paid? I asked one of the salespeople today and he said they don't discuss their compensation to the public. I was just curious if they are paid commission per every car sale? Or is it just a salary that doesn't change...

Reading these threads brings me back to earlier this year. I ordered mine in April 2021 and received it in June. It was the longest 60 days ever!! Well lets see it's not just a 58K car. I got the LR myself so it was 72K with tax. But many people had other expenses as well like -Electrical retrofitting, PPF, Graphene Coating, Window Tints, brake calliper painting, winter tires/ custom rims, floor mats/frunk cover Where do you draw the...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

Im in Barrie, ON. Congrats on your purchase you're going to love it. The red is a sexy colour it was in my top 3. Even if you get the 2021 model its legit no different then the 2022. Identical 82 kwh battery, identical sound system, identical speed/features.

SR/SR+ (Model 3 RWD) Waiting Room

I just installed my new winter tires/rims without the TPMS. Those babies are $125/tire so over $500 for the set. Very expensive. Anyways the car runs just fine without it. A little exclamation mark shows up on the screen but thats it. I plan to keep an eye on the air pressure but I've never had...

Is it me, or does the LR AWD seem like the best value right now

Also from ON here. The LR is worth the extra money especially with our cold winters. I know people with the SR+ in Ontario who can't even drive 200KM in the winter before they have to charge. The LR gives you that extra security with the AWD (better in winter), plus its way faster. Worth the...

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

My 2021 Tesla 3 LR (82kwh Panasonic battery) has 11,000KM on it now. Full charge is 567km no different then when I first bought it. Also I did a test this summer to see if I could get the 567KM advertised. I charged the car to 90% (511KM) and drove exactly 410KM at 70-100KM/H. I got home with...

Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

It's a 73K car here in Canada including taxes, on par with any high end BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, or Audi. If this isn't a nice expensive car then Im not sure what is. Do you need to spend 250K on some rare Lamborghini to justify a couple thousand dollars in paint protection? First thing I did was...

MASTER THREAD: Auto Wiper functionality, complaints, praise, etc.

Haha most likely yes. I hit my 4th rainfall on Friday (quite heavy actually) and the auto wiper function worked perfectly. The only time I needed to hit the manual wipe button was from some moisture from other cars spraying up onto the windshield. It wasn't actually raining at this point but I...
