Langford store map location and driving directions are completely wrong for this store location. It shows on the Tesla map that it’s next to Langford lake just off the highway 1TCH on Westshore parkway. It actually on city gate just up from Millstream about 3 kms south of the wrong location.

I’ve noticed that the “phantom braking” happens when the car sees some sort of crest in the road which it cannot see a continuation of after the crest so it basically chickens out and hits the anchors. Seems obvious to me that it would do that as it assumes that’s a dangerous situation.

According to google, Tesla Victoria on Douglas street is open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday too, closed on Sundays. I haven’t confirmed it personally yet to see if it’s true but if anyone is able to please do.

Software update finally fixed it for me. It’s about time too.

Just finally got a new software update 2022.16.1.2 and it’s finally fixed the trunk issue!!! It’s only taken about 3 months….. sarcasm intended.

Try pressing and holding the trunk button while lifting it, then it moves ok but it’s a bit awkward but works better.

Trust me it does! The resistance from the power strut not wanting to move is making the hinges flex because they are being forced against. I’ve already noticed it’s very very slightly moved the gap between the upper narrow left side of the trunk and the roof line between the rear door and roof.

I forgot to say that when the service team said that I should just open it by hand (even after I told them it’s stressing the struts and hinges) I replied to them saying that I fully expect them to fix any damage caused to the struts and hinges by doing it free of charge. No comment from them.

Makes zero difference. It’s a software induced fault, Tesla already admitted that fact.

I received a message from the service department at Tesla regarding the power trunk issue. They said it appears to be a firmware issue and that I should wait until the next update is live as that should fix it, hopefully.

Audio fix on the latest update so that you can switch off more than a couple of the audio sources. Ie: I can now switch off all my unused/unwanted sources such as Tidal, Streaming, Tune-In etc etc and just have Bluetooth, USB, Radio and Spotify. Finally no more defaulting to Tidal all the time!!!

Even with the silver lining installed you can’t actually see it from outside the car but it makes a huge difference in heat transfer. I also use a cheap silver windshield sun shade too and that helps when it’s parked in the sunshine.

I did that too (sunshades) with my 21 M3SR+ and it works perfectly fine. I got mine from Amazon as a pair and they came with the separate silver liners too so I have 3 options now. Regular glass roof, mesh and full cover. Bargain at under $60 too and it looks good.
