What happens when your SOC is above your set limit?

I don't think 1% really proves anything either way. For example, you might have been at 74.6% (rounded to 75) at 80 degrees, and now after sitting a few days the car is registering 74.4% (rounded to 74) at 60 degrees. Would be curious to see what happens after a longer period of time?

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

I wear my seat belt 99.999% of the time. As I backed out of my driveway this morning with my wife, we were going to try a full point to point FSD drive from home to my office. The seat belt warning chimed, and I thought, "yeah yeah give me a second to get the FSD going first". Nope! No FSD...

What happens when your SOC is above your set limit?

My daily commute is only about 20 miles. Overnight I'll charge my car to 80% and then set the limit to 50%. I'll get back home with like 70% and plug in at night, but no charging occurs. Though I assume the car is pulling power from the house rather than the battery to condition the batteries...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Yep, had this happen to me yesterday. No other cars at intersection, and I had a dedicated left turn lane with a blinking left arrow. Waited about a minute before I gave up and took over.

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Wife and I took Model Y to favorite pizza place yesterday afternoon (dusk). About 8 miles each way with a couple tricky intersections and a 2 lane round about. Made it with 0 interventions! (and 1 wife squeal) ;-) Car was a bit hesitant entering the round about, but once in, zipped around to...

Wiki MASTER THREAD: Actual FSD Beta downloads and experiences

Had a big FSD win on my drive home! Busy 5 lane road (2 lanes each way with center turn lane). Made a left turn at light into the left lane and had about 1 mile to get over to right lane for a right turn. This is a turn onto another major-ish road, so the right lane started backing up pretty...

    Safety Score

In the FAQ's it mentions following distance is measured when your speed is above 50 AND you are within 3 seconds of the vehicle in front of you. I suggest go out in light freeway traffic, use AP as much as you can until you are safely behind someone. Then de-activate and carefully follow. If...

What's the trick to get the wider visualization side on my screen? It says something about when all apps are closed, the visualization will grow wider. I tried closing the music app, so all I see is the map, but I don't see anything else changing?

    Safety Score

Sorry, I might not have been clear. I'm assuming my hit for hard breaking was during that 1% I wasn't on FSD. For sure there was jerkyness while engaged in FSD that would have affected my score much more if counted. I had to disengage FSD several times like when I got scared at a round about...

    Safety Score

Yes it is. I used FSD Beta for 99% of my 10 mile commute this morning. My daily safety score is 85 (5.6 hard breaking) and my overall safety score is now 99.

    Safety Score

Haha, I used FSD beta 99% of time to drive me to work today. Had a few disengagements and expected wonkyness. Checked my Daily Saftety Score for my commute.... 85 LoL 5.6 Hard Breaking. Not even sure when I did that and don't remember any hard breaking interventions? Probably had 1 short...

    Safety Score

I've been 99 or 100 every day the past two weeks, with an overall score of 100. Nothing too extreme, but driving super cautious like I have an open mug of coffee sitting on the dash. Definitely not fun, and a little stressful being ultra aware of everything going on. Someone above mentioned...

    Center Rear Seat Belt Sensor

The center seat sensor is really sensitive. When my son is in back and he leans over to see the front screen, placing his hand on the center section, the alert comes up. Annoying. Good idea on the belt clip though, I'll have to look into getting/printing one for the center seat!

    HomeLink Mirror Auto-fold

Do you have homelink installed in your car? I'd have to go double check my configuration, but I think there is a homelink setting that unfolds the mirrors automatically. It's pretty cool, as I pull up to my driveway the garage door auto opens and the mirrors fold. Driving away, I left it as...

Road trip in July. questions from a brand new owner

Yes, I have hold enabled so I guess makes sense. Oh yeah, some more things. 8) I love single pedal driving! Only thing that seems a bit off is when I need to apply real breaks to slow a bit more aggressively than re-gen alone, but not to a complete stop. Coming off the break it feels wierd...

Road trip in July. questions from a brand new owner

Just made it back from our first road trip. Car delivered on Thursday, and took off Friday morning. Not too long, but have 1,000 miles on the car now. My thoughts: 1) As everyone mentions, charging was a non-issue. Every couple hours we'd stop for 15ish minutes to top up, let the dog run...

Road trip in July. questions from a brand new owner

Just made my drop off appointment for the 10th, which I was super happy to get since we had a road trip planned from Seattle to Bend, OR (about 6 hour drive) the very next day! Was really hoping to have the Tesla in time for the trip, and it just squeaked in! :) I'm 99% sure the answer is not...

Super Charger Route Planning - Why Not Max Out at Fastest Chargers

Yep, exactly. If I'm going to be charging when already at 50% battery, there is no reason to seek out a 250kW charger. A 150kW would give the same charge time.

Super Charger Route Planning - Why Not Max Out at Fastest Chargers

    1) WOW! I posted the message and left for lunch. I was hoping maybe I would get 1 reply. Instead an out pouring of really good information. Thanks everyone! 2) This makes total sense now! I didn't realize the charge rate dropped off so drastically as you charged the battery. You really...

Super Charger Route Planning - Why Not Max Out at Fastest Chargers

Hello! Ordered my model Y and super excited to receive. :) This will be our first EV and I've been watching lots of YouTube about EV's in general and taking the Tesla on a road trips. In regards to planning the supercharger stops, I've seen this behavior several times on the videos, and just...
