I dont have to tilt it to open the hatch if the Thule lid is closed. The only time I tilt is to get more room to tighten the hitch and plug in the electrical cable.

Congrats fellow 7-seater! Word of warning....if you plan to put your kids in the 3rd row, there are no vents back there and in the summer, it gets hot. Might be ok for a down the street trip to transport 7 people but no long drives unless whoever is seated back there doesn't mind the heat...

ICE cars didn’t have all glass roofs. The cars that had a glass roof (only half the roof) had a sliding shade on the inside. I think it’s only now (since Tesla made it popular) there are panoramic roofs in ICE cars but they still have built in shades.

I also have a 7 seater with factory hitch (installed after delivery). If you can afford it get the Thule Transporter Combi. Works great! I don’t even have to tilt the box to open the hatch.

Just looked at my trip meter (didn’t reset it) and it’s at 308 Wh/mi. 2107 miles. Total energy 649 kWh. My Lifetime meter (10,739 mi) is 292 Wh/mile.

Every review I've been able to find on Youtube about Trailer mode is before (most are a year old) when I got mine installed in April 2022 and so it's possible that Tesla updated the Trailer Mode software to prevent you from manually engaging? I'm on the latest software (2022.12.3.12).

Odd. I had to return mine because they were too tall and didn't sit flush with the sub trunk lid (flipped both ways).

Just upload your current insurance ID Card/proof of insurance. I uploaded mine for a car that I was selling to Vroom. California doesn’t require a VIN on your insurance policy when getting a new car.
