I didn’t notice any noise difference switching from the stock Pirelli’s with foam to the Michelin’s without, but I switched after only about 100 miles and everyone is different, some people are more sensitive to some things than others.
Thanks for your questions.
They should fit the OEM Uberturbines just fine, they have no foam, and I sold the custom wheels they were mounted on (in the pic above).
Yes, about 20mm wider and .5” taller overall than OEM (so 10mm more tire on both sides and 1/4” more sidewall).
Note that in the pic, they are on aftermarket 9.5”-wide rims with staggered, non-stock offsets and also pushed out an additional 4-5mm from stock by the MPP rotors I have installed.
Ran these for several hundred miles over a few months (Jan to April, with the tires in my tire ad). I sold the wheels and don’t need this set any more.
$250 shipped anywhere in the continental US.
I had these on a set of wheels from January to April for several hundred miles. mostly from driving to my dad’s place a few times in Bakersfield, I WFH and have no commute.
Two have 9/32” of tread, the other two have 9.5/32“ (pics below show depth in mm). They come new with 9.5/32”. No plugs...
He’s not wrong where he’s saying it’s a waste if you don’t care how your car looks, but I’d get it for a 3-year lease, and definitely if I was planning to keep it longer.
Yeah, I aired it out for the last pic. I have an appointment a week from Monday to get the 3H height adjustment installed. Major PITA with just 3P, I really hope I’m not having to constantly mess with it after.
3 years of not having to wax the car to get it really shiny, having it easier to clean and also not get dirty as easily sounds like a win to me. 6 years even more so.
1) I normally charge to 90%; I have no commute, mostly drive locally for errands, and I know that my actual range is about 2/3 of what it estimates. I drive to my dad’s house 100 miles away once or twice a month - I charge to 100% the night before and I have the mobile charger adapter to...
Definitely bad eyesight and poor camera work on my part lol - yeah it has a kind of rough texture to it that felt like a cover, but I clearly didn’t properly inspect and it was a bit dark in there when I took the pic. Mine has no cover; move along people, nothing to see here.
This. My car is currently 4” from the jack point to the floor, my jack can’t get under it with the 1” thick pads (like above, hockey puck looking thing with a nipple). Currently driving up on some RV leveling blocks to get the jack and pad under.
(can’t edit my post above, or I would have)
Well I guess I finished thinking about it; Air Ride Suspension in San Bernardino has a UAS/3P deal going on that helped me make up my mind. Expecting a DM in the morning for scheduling.
@TwoK4drSi and @gyzmodo please keep us posted; I’m thinking hard about selling my coils and going UAS and Airlift 3p,h,or s…I actually have a draft email to airrideequipment I’ve been meaning to send - they’re down the road from UAS, and UAS is just over an hour away from me.
I’ve been running 255/35/20 PS4S on all 4 corners with aftermarket wheels (and lowered) since about a week after I took delivery of my car. I don’t have any road noise issues, but I’m fairly tolerant of it I think.
Too bad you’re a few hundred miles away from me, as I’m about to have a very...
I moved to Denver.
j/k I got in touch with tech support (IIRC you have to go through the roadside assistance phone menu option) and got my account password reset. Pretty sure once I was able to log in and use my logged-in phone app, it updated.
Make room?!? I see room for about 10 or 12 cars at my garage’s vehicle density. I have a beat-up old 2-car garage with 2 freezers, 2 small refrigerators, 3 6x6x2 ft shelving units, a model 3, 2 motorcycles, and a man-cave area in the back housing one of the refrigerators and a 65” TV. And a sink.
