The repairs were completed today instead of Tuesday. The SC could've been better at communicating the delay, but otherwise all is good. Having a loaner helped a great deal, and I parted with the super comfy MS with somewhat heavy heart 💘
Dropped off the car today at the service center, got a Model S as a loaner. The battery is in stock and the repair is expected to be completed by Tuesday.
received and approved the invoice, they are replacing the HV battery with the following part: HVBATTERY,E3,AWD,1-PHASE(1234422-00-A). Can anyone tell if this is a new or a refurbished battery?
update: received a phone call from the service center and they told me that they do not handle "such complex issues" there, and got re-scheduled for Friday afternoon at another location
Just got this error today on my 2021 MY LR 19,400 miles, scheduled service appointment for Wednesday morning. Will post an update when they tell me what's going on.
MY 2021 screen started lagging on touch and when turn/backup cameras need to be activated after I installed 2023.12 update. A restart seems to take care of the issue for 3-4 days and then it resurfaces again. Is anyone else experiencing something similar along these lines?
it looks like the image is stored on the drive somewhere and then gets uncompressed for installation. it took my car about 3-4 minutes to display the icon after i requested software reinstall: no way it got downloaded that fast
@FalconFour, I want to thank you for all the info and research you provided in this thread. I successfully replaced my gen. 4 80-B with a 00-B and charged at my local Electrify America CCS charger this morning. The riddle was super helpful 👍
I had a fantastic experience at the Paramus SC today: walked up to the counter and left with 00-B 5 minutes later, no questions asked. Have to wait for a software update to become available before I swap out the board and destroy my trunk lining in the process 😇
I just spoke to yet another SC part department and the rep gave me a hint that there will be a different part number (and part revision) when Tesla officially activates CCS charging in NA. Until then they cannot order 00-B at all. I am taking this with a grain of salt, but this convo out of many...
Can someone who had to go through with this nonsense advise if you had better luck dealing with Tesla in person or over the phone? Is there some arcane way for a layman to order a part from the online catalog directly?
I spoke to four different SC's today within 3-hour drive from home. Three of them were telling me that -80-B is latest and straight out refused to order 00-B for me. The fourth one first said that the part is backordered and they have no ETA. I insisted that I want to put the order in, and...
my local SC just messaged me saying that the only part they can order is 80-B and that 00-B is not in stock at any warehouse. I called a SC in Philly and their parts manager told me that 00-B is backordered with no ETA available. Could this be indicative of an upcoming ECU revision?
Yes, I suppose that's the case. Did you go to a SC in person or did you communicate through the app when you bought your ECU?
Alas, nothing available on ebay at the moment.
did you ever receive a tracking number from a local korean courier and how long did it take to get from Tesla to Harum?
My order showed this:
order completed
Unable to check delivery status
a few hours after I placed it, and it still shows this since 4/13
So, they quoted $280 for the adapter (instead of $244 it should be according to today's exchange rate), $5 service fee and $39 shipping. This, and the fact that I need to give them my login credentials led me to search for a different method. I found a Korean proxy shipping service that gave me...
stripped-down Gen4 board without the CCS chip is my guess. Should make for an easy replacement but will still cost me around $150 plus the cost of the adapter when it finally becomes available. I read reports of both M3 and MY manufactured between June-Sep 2021 in this exact situation.
I had my TV MY on autopilot today for the first time and experienced phantom braking while approaching large road signs. Hopefully, as more data is collected by Tesla, they'll tweak the software to be more intelligent. Or not :)
